Dear Sir,
I have done drive tests in Gurgaon on 02/04/2011 and the traffic analysis and
congestion reports are given below.
DRIVE TEST RESULTS:
Interval 1: 11:18 am to 11:25 am (Inside lift or ground floor)
site location/address
RX level(signal level in dBm)
CSQ level
Duration
Time: From to To
Serving channel no. (ARFCN)
Location area code
No. of neighbur cells
GSM band
operator name (NSP)
Mobile Network code
BTS code (cell ID)
packet technology
GPRS data rate
No of packet data channels
(uplink)
No of packet data channels
(downlink)
Radio priority
Encoding schemes used
Access point name
ISSUES FOUND:
RX signal level: When we enter into lift or when we move towards ground floor, the
signal level is getting decreased and it goes to poor level and also audio output is
coming. The signal to noise ratio is also getting decreased and audio output is
coming.
CONCLUSION:
After going through the analysis the following results can be taken.
1. GPRS/GSM network availability:
Inside office:
No. of downlink packet channels varies from 0 to 4 inside our office and
when we tries to access the network it is available and easily accessible. So
there is no problem in accessing the GPRS services inside office. GPRS
services are accessed easily with out congestion.
Inside lift or ground floor:
No. of downlink packet channels varies from 0 to 4 and 0 to 2 inside lift and
when we tries to access the network it is not available and can not be
accessible. So there is signal level problem in accessing the GPRS services
inside lift or ground floor. GPRS services can not be accessed due to weak
signal and non availability of network.
2. GPRS data speed:
Inside office
GPRS data speed varies from 14kbps to 28.12 kbps inside office.
It means that the GPRS data speed is ok and is in the acceptable limits only.
We are getting 100% success rate in accessing GPRS services.
Inside lift or ground floor:
GPRS data speed varies from 128 bps to 592 bps inside lift and ground floor.
It means that the GPRS data speed is poor and is to be improved. This is due
to non availability of network and poor signal level.
