Working as a part-time marketing officer and an Indonesian representative for the university.

May 2014 Aug 2014 Student Intern at BTG (Biomass Technology Group) Enschede,
The Netherlands
Working on a confidential project at the Department of Research and Development of BTG. The
confidential project was related to components separation in pyrolisis liquid.

Oct 2011 Aug 2012 Full-time Lecturers Assistant at the Universitas Indonesia

Working especially as a lecturers assistant for the course of Process Plant Design. This course was taken
by 180 final-year students at the Department of Chemical Engineering. My task was being a mentor and an
advisor for 20 plant design topics which were studied by each small group of students.

Sep 2011 Junior Project Coordinator at Tripatra (an Indonesian Engineering Company)
Obtaining one-month experience in working as a junior project coordinator. The coordinators had main
tasks to maintain engineering deliverables in a project and to carefully lead the functionality of all
engineering departments (e.g. process, mechanical, electrical, process control engineering department).

Jul 2010 Sep 2010 Student Intern at Total E&P Indonesie (an Oil and Gas Company)

Working on designing a process route of gas-to-liquid. It was a preliminary study which was carried out
with Hysys engineering software. The main task was to convert natural gas into liquid (mainly propane
and butane). The characteristics of natural gas were obtained from an actual field of Total E&P Indonesie.

This research was done at BTG company in Enschede. The main task of this project was to improve the

RESEARCH EXPERIENCES AND SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS

This research is a final assignment for my master thesis and was studied during eight months. The project
was a part of a research carried out by Royal Dutch Shell and the University of Twente. The main task of
this assignment was designing a continuous system for high-quality bio-oil production.

Jun 2013 Aug 2013 Application of Advanced Distillation Configurations to Enhance

Industrial Process Intensification in Indonesia
Using Hysys engineering software to apply advanced distillation configurations in some case studies. In
October 2013, I presented this work in a lecture of a Scientific Paper Competition in Paris, France.

Feb 2013 Aug 2013 1-Propanol from Propionic Acid by Ethyl Propionate
Hydrogenation

Working on literature research, black box analysis, conceptual and technical design, and economic
evaluation. In August 2014, I presented this process plant design work in a lecture of the 21st International
Congress of Chemical and Process Engineering CHISA 2014 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Apr 2011 Process Plant Design of Flour from Canna Starch

Designing a process plant, working on technical and economic evaluation. This work then became the best
process design in a National Process Plant Design Competition in Indonesia.

Feb 2011 Jun 2011 Conversion of Empty Fruit Bunch of Oil Palm into Bio-oil via
Catalytic Fast-Pyrolysis

An experimental work in the lab for biomass conversion into bio-oil. This research was then published in a
journal of a National Chemical Engineering Seminar in Indonesia.

Jul 2008 Greening Education: The Importance of Education for the Awareness of
Elementary and Senior High School Students to Environment Conservation

I presented this study in a lecture of a National Scientific Paper Competition in Indonesia. I obtained an
award as the national champion of that contest.
