1. Introduction about Foundation English subject.
Listening skill : beat by beat your hear
Writing skill : by reading

2. Make the preparation for the first assignment on 2 March 2014. We are instructed to form
groups and each group has 5 people. The content must be have in the presentation are :
Group logo
Group name
Group organization (group leader, assistant leader, members)

3. Discussion with my group to choose a leader, assistant leader and members. Result of
discussion, we appoint Mohd Fais as a leader while assistant are Siti Asiyah and a
member of the group is Wan Nabilah, Nurul Azureen and Siti Munirah.

Conclusion :

When I attended the first class, what I get is an introduction to Foundation English, what
will I learn during this semester, able to recognize new friends and to foster cooperation among
group members.My lecturer name is Madam Affah binti Mohd Apandi. She is a beautiful, kind
and friendly. Therefore I am not boring when to attend classes.

3. The second assignment is given and its presentation will begin next week on 9 March
2014. Each week will present a group assignment. The assignment title is noun,
pronouns, verb, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction, interjection, and article.

Conclusion :
This week I look at each group tries to present a presentation by each group with the best.
Each group create a logo with a creative and has meaning of each logo. My group created a logo
called ACTIVE. Our logo is combination all the letters of ACTIVE. Madam has told us improve
our logo to express the meaning of each letter so our logo looks better.
After a discussion with the member of our group decided to change the logo group. Our
new logo is as follows:

The letters A mean ACTIVE. A tiger in the logo symbolizes the strength of our group.
Mission of our group is to be the active group among indoor and outdoor class, while a vision of
our group is to get an A+ in Foundation English.

presentation about nouns are :

NOUN

Is a word used to name a person, animal, place, thing,


and abstract idea.

Many common nouns, like "engineer" or "teacher,"


can refer to men or women.
Example :
David Garrick was a very prominent
eighteenth-century actor. (men)
Sarah Siddons was at the height of her career as an actress in
the 1780s. (girl)

Propper Nouns

NOUN

The noun represents the name of a specific person, place, or thing. The names of days of
the week, months, historical documents, institutions, organization , religions, their holy
texts and their adherents are proper nouns. A proper noun is the opposite of a common
noun.

Common Nouns

A noun referring to a person, place, or thing in a general sense - usually, should write it
with a capital letter only when it begins a sentence. A common noun is the opposite of a
proper noun.

Abstract Nouns

A noun which names anything which you can not perceive through your five
physical senses, and is the opposite of a concrete noun.

Countable Nouns

(or count noun) is a noun with both a singular and a plural form, and it names
anything (or anyone) that you can count. You can make a countable noun plural
and attach it to a plural verb in a sentence. Countable nouns are the opposite of
non-countable nouns and collective nouns.

Non - Countable Nouns

(or mass noun) is a noun which does not have a plural form, and which refers to
something that you could (or would) not usually count. A non-countable noun always
takes a singular verb in a sentence. Non-countable nouns are similar to collective nouns,
and are the opposite of countable nouns.

Collective Nouns

A noun naming a group of things, animals, or persons. You could count the
individual members of the group, but you usually think of the group as a whole is
generally as one unit. You need to be able to recognize collective nouns in order to
maintain subject-verb agreement. A collective noun is similar to a non-countable
noun, and is roughly the opposite of a countable noun.

Conclusion :
In my opinion when I learned the Foundation English subject this time I gained a lot of
fun. This is because I can learn the basics of the English language before I was a considerably

less understand. This week I was able to learn and understand the types of nouns. Maybe after
this I was able to use the knowledge gained is so much better

Example : We blame ourselves.

REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS used when have an emphatic use, to make what is said
more emphatic, to reinforce its meaning.
Example : You yourself posted the letter

Conclusion :
Information that I have this week is about pronouns. I began to understand better the
pronouns with pronouns is divided into a number of which personal pronouns, possessive
pronouns and reflexive pronouns. There are several other types of pronouns that I understand a
little less like pronouns interrogative, demonstrative pronouns and indefinite pronouns. However,
I have to learn again about these pronouns to improve my English.
Presentation made by this group is very good, easy filling for me to understand and good
presentation. But it takes quite a long time cause I'm a bit boring.
