FRANCIS J. TROYAN
Frank Troyan is Assistant Professor of Foreign and
Second Language Education at Ohio State University. He
has taught at the elementary, middle, high school, and
university levels in the United States and France. He was
a founding faculty member of Casco Bay High School in
Portland, Maine where he led curriculum development
for French, Spanish, and ESL. His research and teaching
focus on assessment, foreign language teacher
development, and genre-based approaches to
instruction and assessment in foreign language
education. His research has been published in several
foreign language journals. He is a co-author of
Implementing Integrated Performance Assessment.
Some of you will remember Frank. He was an active
member of the FLAME Conference Committee for many
years. Please join us in welcoming Frank back to
Portland.
