After earning his BA from the Colorado College in Philosophy, Dr. Geoff Kent went on to
pursue a Masters Degree in Education at the Leland Stanford Junior University School of
Education (SUSE). Subsequently, Geoff spent 6 years as a secondary mathematics
teacher in under-resourced urban schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Driven by a
desire to build on these experiences by engaging in social theory, he recently completed
doctoral studies at the University of Sussex. Geoff has contributed as a Research
Assistant on the REALMS project, and has worked in Initial Teacher Education at IOE on
the Teach First Programme.
