Instructions to Authors: Case Study

General Guidelines
1.
The written report of the case study is composed with the following
components:
a. Title and Authors
b. Abstract
c. Introduction
d. Case Report and/or Methods
e. Results and Discussion
f. References
2.
Case study format is divided accordingly:
a. Knowledge Sharing of the school
3.
The standard font style is Arial with font size of 12.
4.
Sections titles such as Abstract Introduction, Case study/Methodology,
Results and Discussion and References should be all in capital letters and in
boldface.
5.
Maximum of 10 pages per case study
Title and Authors
1.
It must be focus on the Assessment of Knowledge Management of
a specific school.
2. The title of the paper should be in capital letters and Arial font size 12. Limit
your title to 20 words or less.
3. Name/s of the author/s (given name, middle initial and last name) should be
Arial font size 12.
4. Indicate the affiliated institution/s of the author/s with the complete name of the
department, institution and its physical address in italicized, Arial font size 12.
Abstract
1.
The abstract of the manuscript should be limited to 200 words or
fewer.
2.
It should contain brief information and includes the following
components:
a. Introduction
b. Case Report or Methodology
c. Results and Discussion
3.
It should be in block section; 1.5 spaced and placed in a box.
4.
Provide at least 5 keywords. Keywords are words that may be
used to identify the study. They help in indexing or categorizing the study as
well.

Background information should be provided to demonstrate how


the case contributes to the literature. Please limit the amount of information
adequate to familiarize the readers with the topic.
Clearly state the objectives of the paper.
Clearly state the significance of the case study in relation to the
theme
Indicate limitations of the case study.
Please include also the following:
a. Background of the School
b. Theoretical framework related in Knowledge Management

Case Report and/or Methods


1.
Present the most salient parts of the case.
2.
Focus on the primary aspects of the Knowledge application and the
main outcome measures used to track pertinent progress.
a. Profile of the Faculty / Teacher in the school presented in graphical form
3.

Briefly describe methods used in Knowledge sharing of the school


a. Methods use in Knowledge Sharing (e.g. seminar, focus group discussion
and etc.)

Results and Discussion


1.
Do not summarize or repeat from the previous sections of the
abstract.
2.
Briefly summarize the results or outcomes of Knowledge
Management of the school
a. Knowledge Sharing (maximum of 5 problems)
3.
It should discuss the relevant literature in the context of the current
case.
4.
It should include a brief summary, conclusion or recommendations
section.
Acknowledgements
This section briefly acknowledges the work of a colleague who has
assisted the author(s) in the preparation of the manuscript.
References
1.
Use the most recent references as possible.
2.
For the format, please refer to the APA format,
3.
This should be arranged alphabetically by last name of first author.
Figures
1.
For each figure, the following information should be provided:
a. Figure number in bold letters
b. Short title of figure which should not exceed 20 words
c. Detailed legend, if applicable, which should be italicized

All of the above information (a, b and c) should be seen below


the graphical representation.
3.
Author/s must make sure that title caption of figures should not
exceed borders of the figure.
4.
Title caption should be justified.
5.
Please avoid using colored graphs (for printing).
Tables
1.
For tables, the following information should be provided:
a.
Table number which should be in bold letters
b.
Short title of table which should not exceed 20 words
c.
Detailed legends should be italicized
2.
Table number and title should be placed on top of the table itself
while legends are placed below the table
