The House Believe in less society involvement in house of

representative election
( + ) Pros
- We believe this statement is correct because sometimes people in our country
have so little to none at all information regarding election (this is especially true for
people who live in countryside)
- We agree with this statement because theres not enough socialization regarding
society involvement in house of representative election so not even all people who
participate in election actually knows about the purpose of election
- Theres a lot of people who chose to abstain in election because they have lost
their faith and trust in our government, so election doesnt really represent ALL
people of our country as whole.
( - ) Cons
- The House definitely wants democracy based on Pancasila (The Five Principles).
This is definitely origin of a lot of incidents in the past that were fully based on
mass needs for their involvement in government plans. This is based on the fourth
principle of pancasila : Democracy guided by the inner wisdom in the unanimity
arising out of deliberations amongst representatives
- Majority of people still have their will to participate and to contribute in election.
(this was shown by MetroNews for the fact that 70 % of people still participate in
latest election) This means theres people goodwill that shouldnt be ignored by
government. Ignoring this will result in violation of their own purpose to serve
people in their country for better.
2. The House will no longer give scholarship to study abroad
( + ) Pros
- We heartily agree with the statement because giving scholarship to study abroad
will definitely need a large amount of money to be spent on it. This will seriously
affect our country financially, since we cant even say that our country is totally rich
and free from all debts. We need to put solving debts as our priority for a better
future.
- In addition, even if we manage to get our people studying abroad, that wont
guarantee us anything. Since, we cant measure people loyality. Theres always a
chance that our people will go working in other country instead of building their own
country. After all, our country is not strong enough to provide their people wealth
and their deserved prosperity, so some people may pick other country to serve for
the purpose of their own wealthy life. In the end, this may not even be positives for
our country.
( - ) Cons
- No matter what the circumstances are, based on Law of the Republic of
Indonesia Number 20 of 2003 concerning National Education System Article 12: 1 (
c ) in addition of its judicial review by Constitutional Court of Indonesia, Every
learner in an educational unit is entitled to:

receive a scholarship in recognition of meritorious performance.., students have

the right to receive scholarship.
- With studying abroad, itll give students chance to learn from people around the
world and give them more experience, more intelligent, more ability to serve their
country and change their country for the better.
3. The House will set quota for young representative in legislative body
( + ) Pros
- We agree with the statement. Being as humble as we could be, we should admit
that the older you are, the more experience you have. Being a representative in
legislative body means you have to represent peoples will and needs. We believe
that older people are more suited for this job.
- We want the best representative possible to bring prosperity and wealth to our
people, so we believe that legislative body is better off with elders with more
knowledge and more intelligence in their own specified fields. Theres also the fact
that the older you are, the more wise you could get. Most young people could
usually be pretty emotional regarding some cases, while itll be hard for a
representative since itll hinder some cases. Being objective is crucial needs.
( - ) Cons
- We disagree with the statement. Indonesia as a country also contains a lot of
young people which voice should also be heard regardless of their age. Older people
tend to be pretty conventional with their ways. Increasing the amount of young
representative in legislative body could help the body to fulfill their duty to answer
all people needs.
- Also, older doesnt always mean wiser or more knowledgeable. Theres a lot of
young people with more knowledge and wisdom than the older one, so any
argument regarding age should be dismissed baseless, because human varies.
4. The House will apply military conscription in Indonesia
( + ) Pros
- Among all country in the world, Indonesia is not the strongest speaking of military.
Its because our country is pretty inexperienced concerning war. So of course,
mandatory military service will help us with manpower we need to protect Indonesia
from any dangers.
- Indonesia has a military system named Parmesta in which all human-elements in
Indonesia should be involved, even not as main power. This system could be
interpreted that all people in Indonesia has a responsibility to serve their country as
guarding-elements. With military conscription, people could fulfill that responsibility
equally.
( - ) Cons
- Not all people in Indonesia have what it takes to be a military unit. If it means
serving their country, we should consider people talents. Some people dont need to

involve themselves in military to serve their country. They could help with other
way, for example, in research, or contributing in sports, etc.
- Indonesia is not a country based on military. Having military conscription in
Indonesia isnt really needed based on our non-war circumstance. Not to mention,
being part of military means a readiness to sacrifice their time and life for country.
We think that in a way, this is violating humans basic right to live without any fears
and threats.
5. The House will require all schools (including public, private, and
international) to hold flag rising ceremony weekly)
6. The House will introduce demonstration methods and principle in
early age education

7. The House will nullify all religion-based laws in Aceh

( + ) Pros
- Based on third principle of Pancasila which states The unity of Indonesia, there
shouldnt be any other-based laws other than the one that is recognized by the
Republic of Indonesia. Religion-based laws could one day bring disunity and split-up
of our country.
- Our country is NOT a religion-based country.
( - ) Cons
- Aceh is a unique territory with its own culture and history for centuries. Because of
that, Aceh has their own unique side, which shouldnt be ignored or nullified. Aceh is
heavily based on religion. Because of that, Aceh shouldnt be nullified from religion
influences. If its nullified, it could cause even bigger chaos, since it has been their
customs for a long time.
- Nullifying differences means violating our motto, bhinneka tunggal ika.
8. The House will put gender equality into curriculum
( + ) Pros
- Its important to know the worth of gender equality. A lot of Indonesian figures in
the past has fought to ensure the equality of two genders, such as R.A Kartini which
is super popular in Indonesian history to this date. This is exactly why, since young,
we should get educational supplies regarding this topic, to make sure the effort of
past heroes are not in vain.

( - ) Cons
- Based on nature law in religion teachings and a lot of applied history in the past,
female and male are NOT equal. The equality of gender is not a subject that could
be categorized as objective, because the answer differs each individual. Its a
subjective matter, so we shouldnt put it in curriculum, as it could be categorized as
certain beliefs doctrine.
- Female and Male needs different treatment and way of doing things. Male works
physically, while female works emotionally. Dismissing this differences as equal is
not valid.
9. The House will give options for children to determine their own
sexual orientation
( + ) Pros
- Human are a creature heavily based on their emotion and feeling. And this part of
human are NOT bounded by any logical thoughts. So their love interest should be a
matter of feelings, and not a matter of logical thoughts.
( - ) Cons
- Early age doesnt need such knowledge and rights yet.
- Being homosexual or bisexual is NOT legal in our country. As our country is based
on the first principle of pancasila, Belief in the one and only God while in most
religion, human is entitled to be a heterosexual by nature.
10.
The House will put heavy punishment on cyber-bully
perpetrators
( + ) Pros
- We completely agree on the statement, because cyber bully could causes some
serious moral and character drop.
- Cyber-bullying is a part of defamation, because its accusing someone for
something thats not even proofed. SO it should be processed through law.
- Law of the Republic Indonesia Number 11 of 2008 concerning electronic
information and transaction
( - ) Cons
-

11.

The House will subsidize local product

( + ) Pros
- This will increase prosperity and wealth for people because they could buy some
products with a really low price.

- Itll give local product special place in Indonesian markets because its cheap.
- Reducing urbanization
( - ) Cons
- Spoiling people, being dependent toward it
- Increasing debts, costs a lot of money for our country.

12.
The House Believe That globalization brings more harm than
good

13.

The House Believe in neo-patriotism

14.
The House will set political education on election mandatory
for all majors in university
( + ) Pros
- it will teach the students the required knowledge of how to vote wisely based on
the candidates performance, attitude and intelligence.

( - ) Cons
- It should be from early times and not only at university, since some of participants
of elections are not yet in university, or not continuing to university. If someone isnt
taking part in university, they may still need the knowledge about how to vote
wisely.
