Act 1: Jogo Sujo (Tribal Mud People Ritual - 6 minutes) (8 minutes total by the
end)

April (third week): One 2 hr. rehearsal

April (fourth week): One 2 hr. rehearsal
May (first week): One 2 hr. rehearsal

Act Details:

The Atom Age Retro Radio Readers introduce the act

The drummers start drumming a rhythm that is the theme for the ReepSujos
ReepSujos enter the stage with a cauldron of mud and go to one side ... they
have their own chant, wear white collars with red ties, and do things that
identify themselves as ReepSujos
The drummers change patterns and start drumming a rhythm that is the
theme of the DemSujos
DemSujos enter the stage with a cauldron of mud and go to the other side ...
they have their own chant, wear white collars with blue ties, do things that
identify themselves as DemSujos
The drumming becomes wilder and more chaotic as the two sides sling mud
from their cauldrons at one another
Until a witch doctor comes on stage to break them up
The drumming stops
The witch doctor scolds both factions for fighting on such a scared day
And then indicates that it is time to initiate new members into the tribe
The witch doctor calls for the altar to be brought forth
The drummers drum a slow, ritual-sounding beat ... the tribe sings a spiritual-
sounding song
A stilter enters the (front of) stage wearing the headpiece/altar and sets it on
the stage
The witch doctor "charms" the altar
The drumming and singing stops
The witch doctor calls for the initiate to come forth
The initiate is lead before the altar and stands ready to be initiated
The drums and singing start again, only a little faster this time
The witch doctor charms the initiate while the two tribes dance and sing
around her
After once around her, the tribe members strip her clothing off and cover her
in mud
When the initiate is covered in mud, the witch doctor halts the drumming
He holds up a red tie and a blue tie and asks the new tribe member which
faction she wishes to join
The two groups lobby her trying to get her to join their side
(money, power, religion, patriotism ... or sex, drugs, and rock n roll)
She chooses a side
The drums start up to match the excitement
The side she chooses cheers and gets all exited. They rush to her, tattoo her
(stamp or paint), and tie her tie around her neck
The side she rejects groans and gets all huffy and disgruntled.
The "winning" side picks the new member of their faction up and carries her
on their shoulders (or on a chair/throne) off the stage.
The losing side follows after them but indicates that they are getting their
cauldron of mud ready to put to immediate use

Act 2: Gods of Quantum Fire (Musical "fire" Routine - 5 minutes) (15 minutes
total by the end)

May (first week): One 2 hr. rehearsal

May (second week): One 2 hr. rehearsal
May (third week): One 2 hr. rehearsal

The Act is introduced by the Retro Radio Readers

The music starts
Narrators tell the story of Prometheus with overhead or video projection
images for support
After the story, the music changes and images of sub atomic particles
colliding causing explosions appear on screen
The narrators talk about quantum physics -- how modern day scientists are
learning how to wield fire like gods
The music changes again to match the fusion images
The on-screen images depict the sun and the concept of fusion
The narrators talk about what fusion is, how it works, and why physicists are
trying to create it
The music changes to match the mood of the physicist's entry onto the stage
(wearing a lab coat)
The physicist holds a bright white light in his hand
He lights a cigar with the light, closes his hand, takes a hit on the cigar,
blows smoke on his hand, opens his hand, and a spray of laser light is
emitted
The music changes to match the mood of the physicist's assistants' entry
onto the stage (wearing lab coats, glasses, & long-haired wigs pinned up ...
and cybergoth outfits underneath)
The 3 girls pull slim cigars out of their lab coat pockets
The physicist lights the cigars with something visually interesting ... a
laser ... a blow torch?
The girls blow smoke onto their hands then open them to reveal more sprays
of laser light
The physicist and girls do a short bit of choreographed movement with their
lasers, then, together, they roll out the Tesla coil.
The music changes to build up to a climatic point
At the height of the music, the physicist pulls a lever and the Tesla coil fires
up for just a few seconds then shuts down
The physicist and girls are disappointed
The physicist thinks for a second then indicates that he has an idea
He goes to each girl, takes her glasses off, pulls her hair down, takes her lab
coat off, then hands them gas-mask-like "fusion" helmets
He puts on a fusion helmet himself then plugs all the helmets into a power
cable that looks like it leads to the Tesla coil
All four start to gyrate and rub against each other ... the music comes on
again, builds up, and the Tesla coil fires up again, this time for a good 30 - 45
seconds
A bunch of lights hung around the stage come on
The physicist shuts off the Tesla coil
The scientists jump up and down and hug
The physicist takes his helmet off and indicates that he must rush off to
publish the results of his successful fusion experiment ... he leaves the stage
rolling the Tesla coil off with him

The Retro Radio Readers announce the successful scientific breakthrough in

the creation of a fusion reactor then introduce the next act

At the same time, the stage crew is setting up the modeling platforms and
photography strobes
The song Model For Me comes on
The girls take turns modeling and stripping for the photographer who is
shooting real photos of them that will appear on the projection screen above

The Retro Radio Readers introduce the act

The song Faith in Nothing starts
The X Mob leader lip syncs as the X Mob carries a kicking, screaming Super
Collider scientist onto the stage
The X Mob holds the science girl securely as they present her to the leader
The leader motions for them to tie her to the X post
The leader sings the song to the victim while some X Mob members bind and
gag her as others hold up pictures of deities and heros which they X out with
spray paint
The leader cuts and rips the victim's clothing off timing it so that she is down
to her underwear by the end of the song
The leader marks an X on the victim's chest and has his knife poised to cut
her heart out when the song ends and the stage goes dark
There is a few seconds of silence, then a reprise of Faith In Nothing starts
back up
The cast leaves the stage
The music ends again
A happier song starts up
The Retro Radio Readers introduce the cast as groups of two or three at a
time come back out to take their bows
The Retro Radio Readers introduce themselves last then remind the
