INTERNSHIP STUDY

(A Report on paper Observation)


Internship is a vital and necessary part of practicum. Practicum is a subject
of M.Ed second year. It caries total 50 marks. For the partial fulfillment of
practicum we have to observe 5 class's but the lack of student teacher I have
observed the two classes of Raju Lamichhane and Subash Jung Thapa.

have observed the classes in regards to the following points to make a report
on peer observation.
1. Appearance in the classroom
2. Initiation of lesson
3. Development of the lesson
4. Subject matter and sequence
5. Language
6. Instruction materials
7. Students Participation
8. Teacher's Activities
9. Closing the lesson

The data which mentioned above, I observed the class of my colleague Raju
Lamichhane.
The appearance in the classroom of Raju Lamichhane was good. The starting
of the class was so interesting. The subject matter was relevant to the
curriculum as well to textbook. The coverage was also good. The teacher's
command over the class room and subject matter was good but not logical in
order.

Language of the teacher was clear but not loud. The students were not so
active. The total class was based on lecture method. The student were seemed
to be just good listener. They did not engage in the discussion of the relevant
matters. The lesson was not evaluated. He didn't use any teaching materials
except daily used materials.
Strong's Points:

Good use of blackboard.


Interaction with students.
Language was clear and loud
The appearance in the class room was good
Good Knowledge of subject matter

Weak Points:

The speaking speed was high.


Lesson was not based on previous class.
The assignment was not very appropriate.
The lesson was not evaluated.
Lack of teaching materials.

Suggestions for improvement:

Presentation should be psychological and encourage student to learn.


Using more teaching method.
Interaction with students.
Use teaching materials as far possible.

The data which mentioned above, I observed the class of my colleague Subash
Jung Thapa.
The appearance in the classroom of Subash jung Thapa was good. The starting
of the lesson was interesting but objectives of the lesson were not clear to
students. The language was clear and soft. The teacher's command over the
subject matter was good and logic too. The self-confidence of teacher was
satisfactory.
The students listened to the teacher very attentively but discussion and question
answer of the subject matter was missing. The lesson was summarized and
objectives seemed to be achieved satisfactory. The teacher was not encourage
the students in the course of teaching learning activities.
Strongs Points:

Less Student's participation in the class room activities.


The subjects matter was relevant to the curriculum and to the textbook.
The appearance in the class room was good.
Language was clear and loud
Instructional materials were used.
The lesson was summarized

Weak Points:

More use of Lecture Method


No assignment was given
Teaching Materials were not in required shape and size.
The assignment was not very appropriate.
The lesson not evaluated.
