Objectives of the discipline

The main objective of the medical microbiology is to teach the future physician to see the microorganism
with the eyes of the mind and to think as a microbiologist:
- A. to know where and what kind of microorganisms are present (on and in the own body, on and in
the patients body, even they are not having one infectious diseases, on and in environment);
- B. which are the ways through which these microorganisms are moving from a place to another one
and what kind of consequences can have this contamination;
- C. to know the risk of microbial contamination in medical and surgery practice;
- D. to understand the role of the microorganisms in conditioning the health / sickness state.
