Learning Outcomes/Objectives:
1. To identify and name indoor and outdoor co-curricular activities carried out in
the school
2. To build vocabulary
3. To pronounce the targeted vocabulary
Activities :
Activity 2 Listen and Say Aloud
1. Play the Audio-Video DVD to allow students to listen and practise saying
aloud the targeted vocabulary.
2. Pause after each word to allow all students to internalise the targeted
vocabulary.
3. Ensure that all students participate actively. Replay if necessary.
Activity 3 My choice
1. Get students to talk about the co-curricular activities that they are involved
in.
2. Students work in pairs to interview each other by asking the following
questions.

1. Get student to talk about their hobby using item they have bought,
2. Encourage other students to ask question during the show and tell sessions.
This to ensure that all students are actively involved.

Activities:
Activity 1 Let's Promote! - Preparation
1. Draw students' attention to the picture.
2. Ask the following questions:
What do you see in the picture?
What are they doing?
3. Tell students that they are going to form a Hobby Club and they are going to
promote their club to the class.
4. Get students to work in groups of five.
5. Students form a circle. Give a ball to each group.
6. Each group must prepare their posters to promote their Hobby Club.
7. Each poster must include the following:

Where was he/she born?
What was his/her occupation?
What were his/her contributions?
Why did you choose him/her as your favourite personality?
3. Encourage that all students are actively involved during the activity.
