a. To support in re/formation of RMGs.
b. To orient/train RMGs for implementation of road maintenance works.
c. To support in valuation of work done by RMGs, wage distribution to RMG members
and public audit.
d. To work as mediator for managing social dispute in the working areas with
community people.
e. To monitor work frequently and reporting to line manager.
f. To liaise and coordinatee with DDC/DTO staff in connection with successful
implementation of RMG approach for road maintenance works.

2. MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


All activities are to be conducted in accordance with the conditions defined in the Employment Contract and the RAP3
Manual.

Study whole RMG guideline for implementation of RMG approach in road construction.
Support to form/reform RMGs at the community of road corridors as per RMG guideline.
Orient and train to the RMG members of all road corridors as per requirement.
Guide/support to RMG members in Super maintenance works.
Supervise, monitor and report on progress of RMG activities/works carried out by RMG members at the

Advice to the RMG members for compulsory using of safety equipment while working at the site.
Monitor and report on all potential risks and actual risk events in accordance with the RAP3 risk management

Support to SAMEs in valuation of work done by RMGs.
Support to distribute wage payment to the RMG members at particular field.
Ensure all RMG activities are carried out in accordance with the RMG guideline.

3. PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT CRITERIA


All RAP3 employment contracts are annual, linked in with the implementation calendar. Renewal of contracts is linked
to satisfactory performance each year. In addition, RAP3 applies a performance bonus payment. See the RAP3
Manual for further details on performance assessment criteria. For SMO, the performance assessment is linked to the
following criteria.
Compliance with all conditions in their Employment Contract
Fulfillment of all roles and responsibilities in accordance with the Job Description for this position and the
assigned additional tasks.
Achievement of the annual district Implementation Plan - % completion of physical works and % fund
disbursement / payments targets.
