Ankle Sprain
refers to as the tearing of ligaments of the ankle,
commonly in the lateral or outside part

Symptoms
Pain

after a twisted ankle

Swelling

and Bleeding

Bruising

(Ecchymosis)

Groin Pull/Injury
a tear or rapture to any adductor muscles resulting in
inner thigh pain

Symptoms

Sharp pain in the groin area, either in the


belly of the muscle or higher

Rapid swelling

Bruising

bone)

Gracilis

Hamstring Strain
known as pulled muscle excessive stretch or tear of
muscle fiber and related tissues

Symptoms

Sudden and severe pain during exercises

Snapping and popping feeling on the thigh

Pain in thigh or lower buttocks while walking,


straightening the leg or bending over

Tenderness

Bruising

Shin Splints
acute pain in the shin and lower leg caused by
prolonged running, typically on hard surfaces.

Symptoms

Dull ache in front of the lower leg

Pains that develops during exercises

Pain that can be constant

Pain in the shinbone

Pain in the inner part of the lower leg

Knee Injury
The common injuries to knees are fractures, dislocation,
sprain, and ligament tear.

Tennis Elbow (Epicondylitis)


inflammation of the tendons of the elbow (epycondylitis)
cause by overuse of the muscle in the forearm

Symptoms

Increasing pain in the around outside the elbow

Worse pain when shaking hands or squeezing


objects

Worse pain when moving the wrist with force

Prevention and Treatment of Common Injuries

Always start with a gentle warm-up exercise before jumping to the


activity proper.

Stretch before the actual activity.

Practice Pre-Participation Training lightly work on relevant muscle


group in a week before the activity.

STOP when your are fatigued. Dont push yourself to the limit to
convince that you are fit.

Always practice cool-down stretching at the end of the activity,


workout or training to relax the muscle and go back to its form.

Stay fit and be healthy through proper workout regimen.

Common Deformities in Human

Genetic/mutation

Complication at birth

Growth in hormone disorders

Surgery due to severe injuries

Chronic Paresis or paralysis or muscle


imbalance

Scoliosis
Abnormal lateral curvature of the spine

Lordosis
Excessive inward curvature of the spine

Kyphosis
Excessive outward curvature of the spine, causing hunching of the back

Lower Back Pain


caused by a problem in spinal muscle, nerves, bones, disc or tendons

Genu Varum (Bow Legged)


physical deformity caused by the outward bowing of the lower leg in
relation to the thigh, giving the appearance of an archers bow

Genu Valgum (Knock Knees)

abnormal curvature of the lower legs, resulting for a large gap between th
feet and ankles when the knees are touching.
