Excellent examination results again at the British School Al Rehab summer 2014.

Director of schools Mr. Ian Harrison said today that examination results at all levels showed exceptional achievement by
the students at the British School. Mr. Harrison paid tribute to the hard work and dedication of the students and their
teachers which had resulted in the fine grades achieved.

Year 6 Cambridge examinations

These exams are in English, mathematics and science and are taken at the end of Year 6. Scores range from 0 which is
very weak to 6 which is exceptional. A score of 3 is about average.

Over 85% of students achieved an average score or better and almost 40% achieved the highest scores. This is an
outstanding result and reflects great credit on the students and their teachers.

Year 9 Pre IGCSE examinations

These IGCSE foundation level exams are in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics and are taken in order
to graduate Year 9 in the Egyptian system. Grades range from "C" the highest possible at this level to "G" . All grades
from C to G are accepted as a pass. There is also grade "U" which is not accepted as a pass.

Overall, the pass rate is outstanding at this level and is a very hard standard to achieve. The English grades are
exceptional and the students and their teachers should be very proud.

Year 11 International GCSE examinations

These examinations are taken at the end of the IGCSE study programmes and are required for university entrance.
Results at IGCSE level in both the Cambridge and Edexcel examinations were outstanding with 91% of students
obtaining 5 or more grades A* to C . This is considerably better than last year's results. In the UK this percentage was
68% this year.
Even more remarkable is the percentage of A* grades from Al Rehab students which was an incredible 23% compared to
the UK figure of 6.7 % and if we look at grades A* and A we find 45% for Al Rehab students compared to 20% in the UK.
