Introduction
Drug abuse is unwarranted, patterned consumption of any
natural or synthetic substance or drug in an unapproved
quantity for performance enhancement and psychological
effect for non-therapeutic, non-medical use by an individual
with methods neither approved nor supervised by medical
professionals.

When drug abuse becomes a necessity for maintaining

psychological and emotional equilibrium it is called Drug
Addiction. Drugs corrode the basic structure of a whole society,
by affecting a cultured human society in all aspects including
destabilizing families, reducing human productivity, corrupting
trustworthy governments and honest police, and demoralizing
law
respecting
citizens.
Globally, over 200 million people consume some form of illicit
drugs. The trafficking of illicit drugs and hallucinogens is the

largest illegal business in the world accounting for about 8% of

international trade, amounting to about $400 billion annually.
In this project I am basically going to discuss the drug
trafficking in Asian countries during 2010-2014. The major
parameter of drug trafficking will be discussed here are (i)
Name of country where the seizure was made.(ii) Specific name
of the place where the seizure was made. For example: city,
town, village, port, check point, border crossing, etc.(iii) Exact
type of seized drug (Examples: Heroin, Cocaine, Cannabis
herb, Cannabis resin,
Amphetamine, Methamphetamine,
Ecstasy- type etc.(iv) Exact quantity seized in kg. (v)
Hiding
Place, where the drug was hidden (vi) Area/place where the
drug was seized
and (Vii) Method of transportation etc.

of
illicit drugs debilitates people, cripples economies, and
provides funding for wars or terrorism. Drug trafficking is
getting more serious everyday that if we do not make an
attempt to stop or slow it down, deadly consequences will
occur. The present project is nothing but simple indicate the
types of drugs, producing countries, destination of the
trafficked drugs, method and means of transportation. It is our
duty reduce the production, distribution and consumption of
drugs , so that a peaceful society can be dreamed for all.
