catalogue is ments and their needs for new products.
lying in front I hope we can continue to give you full satisfac-
of you and when thinking about the history of tion now and in the future.
Diaclone Research products I realise that we have
been on the market for over ten years. The first
catalogue contained antibodies and 6 Elisa kits
filling 18 pages of product information in total!
Even by writing smaller and smaller (sorry for the
spectacles) and skipping unessential information
we now need two catalogues to present our pro-
duct range showing the important increase of our
product development since the beginning. This is
not only related to new products but also to new
formats like the high sensitive ELISAs, CE marked
ELISAs, Fluorospots and CE labelled CD138. We
have noticed that creating new formats with higher
levels of quality control is actually increasing the
overall quality of all products. This is also reflec- Besançon, March 2004
ted in fewer customer complaints, a criterion Dr. John Widjenes,
important for the quality of the products.
Another change leading to increased quality is
the separation made between the therapeutic and
research / diagnostic activity. Being a company
fully dedicated to the development, production
and sales of the diagnostic and research products
has also increased performances and is visible,
for instance, by the recently developed new pac-
kaging for the monoclonal antibody vials. CEO of Diaclone
Being present in more than 30 countries is com-
forting for our self-esteem. Being appreciated by
one’s home country is one thing; being appre-
ciated in so many other countries is not easily
obtained. Sending a product 100 kilometres away
does not entail the same logistics as sending a
product 10,000 kilometres away. Even so, we try
to satisfy all our customers to the same extent, be
they close or far.
This new structure generates a sense of total
coordination; a well-oiled organisation which
manages to integrate all aspects of our work,
from development and production, to marketing,
sales and shipment.

Diaclone is proud to introduce 4 CE-marked Elisa Kits : IFNγ, IL-6, IL-10 and TNFα. These CE-marked reagents meet the requirements
of the 98/79/EC directive and provide you with an addition guarantee. We will continually introduce new CE-marked Elisa kits to fullfill
your needs.

Diaclone Elisa Kits are ready-to-use. With pre-coated 12 strip plates, standards, buffers, detection antibody, conjugate and substrate,
you can easily and with high sensitivity measure molecule secretion in serum, plasma or cell culture supernatants.

Advantages of Diaclone Elisa

Wide choice
Large range of antigens: cytokines, cytokine receptors, adhesion molecules, apoptosis related proteins, CD antigens.
Several species: human, mouse and rat

High performance
Fast procedure: average incubation time for human kits 1 1/2 hours
High sensitivity
Both natural and recombinant antigen specificity
High reproductibility
Standard calibration to NIBSC/WHO (when available)

CE-marked Elisa
CE-marked Elisa kits available for IFNγ, IL-6, IL-10 and TNFα.

Iso quality
Accuracy and reliability guaranteed: all of our reagents have been extensively validated according to the ISO 9001 quality system

Convenience
12 strip plates: which enable to perform two assays per plate
Two types of standard dilution buffers: (when necessary) to be as close as possible to the sample composition
Demo kit: available upon special request
Several sizes: available in 1 or 2 x 96 well-plate formats
Similar procedure for all kits

ELISPOT

The Elispot (enzyme-linked immunoassay) technique was originally developed for the detection of individual B cell secreting
antibodies. However, this method has since been modified to detect and enumerate individual cells producing and secreting effector
molecules such as cytokines. It is the most appropriate method to analyse cytokine production in conditions closely comparable to the
in situ environment in a highly specific way. Elispot is the ideal tool to follow disease regression under appropriate treatment.

Diaclone Elispot assays are based on sandwich immuno-enzyme technology. Cell secreted cytokines or soluble molecules are
captured by coated antibodies avoiding diffusion in supernatant, protease deterioration or binding on soluble membrane receptors.
After cell removal, the captured cytokines are revealed by tracer antibodies and appropriate conjugates.

Elispot constitutes an ideal tool in the following applications:

- TH1 / TH2 response
- Vaccine development
- Viral infection monitoring and treatment
- Cancerology
- Infectious diseases
- Autoimmune disease
- Transplantation

Advantages of Diaclone Elispot

ELISPOT MATCHED ANTIBODY PAIRS

Antibody Pairs are aimed to be used by researchers who have their own Eli-spot method but who wish to have the quality of
Diaclone antibodies. These antibodies are identical to those in the complete Eli-spot kits. They are available in a 10 x 96 well-plate
size. Elispot matched antibody pairs are exactly the same validated antibodies as those used in our ready-to-use Diaclone Elispot
kits which enables you to occasionally validate your results by using a ready-to-use Diaclone Elispot kit.

Advantages of Elispot matched Antibody Pairs

Several species: human, mouse and rat

Accuracy and reliability guaranteed : all of our reagents have been extensively validated according to the ISO 9001 quality system
