a long way from being constructed from
one solid piece of material. By working
with doctors and researchers, IKEA has
determined that to maximize comfort and
support, it is critical to cut foam and latex
into varying pieces to properly support the
different areas of the body. Many new
SULTAN foam and latex mattresses have
been cut into five comfort zones to give
precise support to various pressure points,
such as the shoulders and hips. The
comfort zones can be seen on the mattress
by the varying widths of the patterned
waves on the surface material. The
