MBE 821: ENTREPRENEURSHIP PRACTICAL
Course Content:
The student will be required to identify a business idea/opportunity, carry out a
feasibility study for it and write a report; Write a business plan for the business to
implement that idea/opportunity. He/She will be required to implement the business
plan and further develop the business idea/opportunity either in an existing venture
or start up a new venture to implement the project. The objective is to expose
students to the entrepreneurial environment and instill in them an entrepreneurial
culture. The student will be assessed by an assigned member of the academic staf
who will be assisted by an organizational supervisor (if any) and the business
stakeholders if applicable. The assessment will be based on the work performance
and a written report at the end of the practical.

Possible and overarching course objectives


1. Connect the masters entrepreneurship student with the practical methodology.
2. Prepare the university graduate to able to exercise the administrative, leadership and
specialized skills in entrepreneurship.
3. Help the student to understand the work mechanism in the society institutions and
give him/her the practical experience and appropriate training in entrepreneurship.
4. Provide the student with skills to deal with data and write the various reports.
5. Build bridge of communication between the university and student on the other hand
between the governmental and private institutions.
6. Stabilize the values and concepts related to the knowledge and work.
7. Obtain feedback on suitability of course in relating with local reality.

A sensitization meeting is held between university/work supervisor and student.
