think that the mayor and the Town

ment to say the least.) “Recognize the
need”? Where do these gurus come
from? Our Mayor has a vision that
after he ordains the inevitable sales
tax increase, the visionaries will have
more of a budget to assists the vision-

money. But while they have no track
record to point to, none, they’re
expecting us trust them to do what’s
effective. Truly an outrageous matter.

at least, no more insane than expect-
ing “us” to trust “them”.
FIrst, get rid of Wal-Mart. Tear it
down, plant azaleas and let the whole
world know that this is the first step in

moral? Apparently, the answer is yes.
Maybe what we're dealing with is
mob psychology. Perhaps it's rational-
ization. "It's for a worthy cause," we
tell ourselves, oblivious to the fact that
the Eighth Commandment doesn't say
"Thou shalt not steal ... except by
majority vote." Governments don't
produce wealth; they only take it and
redistribute it, substituting the political
judgment of the few (the governing
elite) for the economic verdict of
everyone acting in free markets.
Today, on Nat’l and local levels, the
Governments in this Country are tak-

Charles Anthony Williams, Jr. (nick-
name: Buster) was born in Camden,
New Jersey on April 17, 1942. His
mother, Gladys worked as a seam-
stress and his father, Charles Anthony
Williams, Sr. (nick-name: Cholly), a
bassist, worked various day jobs to
support his five children, and at night
played gigs to support his musical
spirit.

member of the world renowned coop-
erative quartet, Sphere, which con-
sisted of pianist Kenny Barron; drum-
mer Ben Riley; Buster Williams; and
the late tenor saxophonist Charles
Rouse. Then came his work with ''The
Timeless Allstars", featuring Buster;
Cedar Walton; Billy Higgins; Curtis
Fuller; Harold Land; and Bobby
Hutcherson.
Awards include a Grammy in 1979;
the Min-On Art Award; the SGI Glory
Award the SGI Cultural Award; the
RVC Corporation RCA Best Seller
Award; NEA recipient; New York
Fellowship Grant; 5 Stars from
Downbeat magazine for the album
"Crystal Reflections" listed in Who's
Who in Black America; and numerous
proclamations.
Since the inception of "Something
More'' in 1990, the group has had
numerous tours of Europe including

and PBR’s are offered daily there
accentuated by $1 Margaritas on
Wednesdays placeing this small spot
at the top of the steal deal seeker’s
list.
PB Sunrise Cafe has ruled the
breakfast hours Island-wide for years
now and we see little change through-
out the Spring months there as PBSC
continues to attract the lion’s share of
the breakfast/brunch locals seeking
variety and prompt in and out access.
Good word had Sunday’s numbers
topping 500 last month for the first
time this year.
Kanaley’s While opening during the

tions this small Irish themed pub has
regained much of the Park Plaza reg-
ular walkabout clientele once enjoyed
by the former Tavern on the Park.

The Lodge is geared up for the
Spring months with nightly deals high-
lighted by the all new craft beer offer-
ings there which marks the final
phase of this local bar’s transition
away from the original cigar/martini
bar that put it on the map years ago.
Stellini’s is back in the Spring
Swing and this off the beaten path
location has for 20 years served as a
haven for locals and visitors prefer-
ring a more subdued dinner destina-
tion. The Early Bird deal is still one of
the Island’s best.
Murphy’s is the most popular
active sport destination on the Island
as good numbers of Rugby/Soccer
players and NFL fans alike huddle
there Thursday-Saturday and with the
walking distance convenience of the
Forest Beach residents and dozens of
near-by white collar workers the
happy hour and dinner numbers con-
tinue to be steady.
Frugal minded locals have got to be

Dear Employees,
As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that
Barrack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will
increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices would
have to increase by about 10%. But since we cannot increase our prices
right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off
sixty of our employees instead. This has really been bothering me since I
believe we are family here and I didn't know how to choose who would have
to go. So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found
sixty 'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have decided
these folks will be the ones to let go. I can't think of a more fair way to
approach this problem. They voted for change...I gave it to them.
