Reinforcement detailing is simple but powerful

application with fast and reliable commands for
detailing, drawing and scheduling of reinforcement bars and shear links. You are free to draw
and modify bars without thinking about shape
numbers. A special shape recognition algorithm
will find them automatically. The powerful slab
detailing commands allow you to draw big and
complex shaped slabs with just a few clicks.

Slab detailing
The slab detailing command is extremely powerful
and easy. You can cover any shape with reinforcement mesh with a single click. The required numbers and lengths of bars are calculated automatically.
They are cut and lapped where necessary. Finally, a
compact drawing is generated, where all bars are

represented by the minimum required bar marks.

You need to define slab edge and all areas or strips
inside the slab with different or additional reinforcement as closed polylines. Then, it will take just a few
minutes to draw the entire reinforcement.

Scheduling

There are a lot of ways to create reinforcement bars

with ZWCAD. You can pick any polyline and enter bar
data. You can add bends and hooks as well. You can
also draw along the concrete edge but get your bars
inside at the specified cover. Finally you can select
one of the standard bar shapes, fill in dimensions (or
pick on the drawing) and insert the bar.

Reinforcement bending schedule can be generated

either in general form or in compliance with
BS8666:2005. The program will automatically recognize shape numbers using a special algorithm. If the
bar matches one of the standard shapes, the corresponding shape number is assigned. Otherwise,
shape number 99 is assigned.

You should enter bar type, size, spacing and range.

Bar count and length are calculated automatically.
And forget about shape numbers draw the shape as
you need it and number will be recognised automatically by the scheduling program.

Modifying bars
Unlike most of other programs bars are not locked
and are not blocks. You are free to modify them using
standard ZWCAD commands (e.g. grips, stretch, trim,
extend etc.) Bar data will be updated automatically.
This provides you with extreme flexibility.

Shear links
The link drawing command is the easiest way to
create shear links. Click the button with the link shape
and pick the opposite corners of the concrete section.
You can customize concrete cover, anchoring lengths
etc.
