Basic Principles
The availability of an acceptable building is
an important requirement for the
operation of the school.
To be acceptable, a building shall be safe,
sanitary and adequate.
A safe school building is structurally stable
to resist lateral forces, such as strong
winds, earthquakes, etc.

DepEd School Buildings

A school building must be in hygienic and

sanitary condition at all times to protect
the health of the pupils/students and the
teachers. The color of the paint to be used
