Assemble the parts

With the projectors on a soft

surface to prevent scratches,
place the projector plate with
the angled edge alongside the
projectors vent. Attach the plate
with the four provided screws.
Repeat with the second projector.

Using the measurement marking

on the side of the boom, adjust
the boom length to 27.5" and
tighten the top bolts. Repeat
with the second boom.
NOTE: If the mount or projection

surface is extended or recessed,

add or subtract the difference
from this measurement.

Determine the wall

mount placements

Once an appropriate location

has been established for the
system installation, determine
where the centerline of the
entire system will be.

Feed the projector power cord,

mini USB cable, HDMI cables
and touch module cord through
the wall mount boom. Ensure
the correct connector ends
are being fed through. Repeat
with the second boom.

Refer to Figure 2 on page 11 for the

wall mount placement.

Power on the projector

Ensure the projector is plugged in,

then press the power button on
the projector remote control.

Adjust the focus

Slide the focus switch on the left side of the

projector to bring the image into focus.

Image alignment is an iterative process. You may need

to perform these steps more than once to achieve a
correctly sized, aligned image.

Level image

Use the middle knob marked

Roll to level the top of the
projected image. Check image
with a level before proceeding
to the next adjustment.

Even image height

Use the far-right knob marked

Yaw to adjust the image until
both sides are the same
height. At this point it is more
important to get the sides even
in length than it is to get them
to the recommended length.

Square the image

Use the far-left knob marked

Pitch to adjust the image
until both sides are plum
and the image is squared.

NOTE: Use the knobs on the mount to adjust the image. Do not attempt to shift the projector with your hands

as this will make the image more difficult to align and could damage the adjustment mechanism.

February2016

14

Adjust the height

Adjust image left/right

UP/DOWN

LEFT/RIGHT

If you need to raise or lower the image, use the

bolt at the bottom of the boom. The bottom of the
projected image must be 32" (81 cm) from the floor.

If the image needs to be adjusted either to

the left or to the right, loosen the screws
that attach the projector plate to the boom,
slide the projector and tighten the screws
again before making the next adjustment.

Measure and adjust

Tighten bolts

90 o

Measure the image diagonally to determine if it is

close to the recommended 130" (330 cm) size with
a height of 45 " (116 cm) and length of 122" (310
cm). If the image is significantly larger or smaller,
adjust the boom length and re-adjust the image
in the same order of roll, yaw and pitch. If the
image is skewed, make adjustments in the order
of roll, yaw and pitch until the image is square.

Once this is complete, ensure all bolts on the mount

are tightened and attach the knob adjustment
cap. Repeat the process on the second projector.
When the second image is aligned, the two images
should overlap slightly along the middle edge.

Once the images are aligned, they should overlap

along the middle edge by 1 - 2" (2.5 - 5 cm)

Image alignment module

installation
Install the image alignment module and use the image alignment
module software to bring the overlapping projected images into a
single, seamless image.
HOW IT WORKS

The image alignment module (NAM2-1) takes the video signal from the PC(s) connected
to the projectors and allows you to control the geometry of each image separately
to bring them together in a single seamless projected image. The adjustment
of the image is done using the image alignment software, which is downloaded
onto a configuration PC (a separate laptop). The configuration PC is wirelessly
connected to a router that is connected to the NAM2-1 via the Ethernet jacks.

Direct connect
The configuration PC can also be connected directly to the NAM2-1 via an Ethernet cable. This
configuration will require you to manually switch the single Ethernet cable between the two
Ethernet jacks to adjust the two images sequentially. It also requires the configuration of the
Ethernet adapter on the control PC. We recommend using the Wi-Fi router configuration as it
allows you to readjust the image whenever necessary without having to access the wiring.

Set up communication between

the configuration PC, the
wireless router and the NAM2-1

Ensure the wireless router is set

up to use the IP address range
192.168.0.xx. This is the typical
default setting for wireless routers.

Connect the configuration PC wirelessly to

the wireless router. If you need to configure
the SSID, security or IP address range,
contact your IT department for assistance.

Image alignment

Select the channel from the bottom panel for whichever projector has the larger image, either 011 (CH A) or 012 (CH B)
Click the Warp tab. This will overlay a grid on the projected images. The colored grid points on the four outside
corners of each projected image correspond with four grid points in the image alignment software.

Move Pitch: The slider adjusts how

many pixels the grid point moves each
time you make an adjustment. The
default setting is 1.0 pixel. We suggest
moving the slider to a larger number
initially to make larger adjustments
first, then move the slider to a smaller
number for precise adjustments
to bring the images together.

Start by selecting the alignment grid square in the top left-corner. Use the arrow control on the keyboard to move the
grid point.
The screen will refresh every time you press the arrow key to move a grid point. It is important
to wait after each adjustment for the screen to refresh before making the next adjustment.

Select each of the remaining three grid points one at a time and adjust the image horizontally and vertically
If necessary, repeat the process for the other channel by clicking the icon on the bottom panel

February2016

20

Save the settings

Once the two images are aligned, you must save the settings as a file on the configuration PC. This process also saves
the settings on the NAM2-1 itself. If you do not save the settings, the warp settings you have applied will be lost
the next time the NAM2-1 goes through the power cycle. You will also need to access the saved files for any future
adjustments.
To save the settings
