Objectives:
At the end of the lecture, the students will be able to do the following:
a. identify the different facilities and equipment of an ideal school health clinic
b. be familiar with the provisions of an ideal school health clinic, health garden,
implementation of school health programs
c. craft an action plan
HEALTH FACILITIES AND THE SCHOOL CLINIC
The ideal school health facilities, equipment, and clinic can be described through
DM No. 45, s. 2010 implemented among elementary and secondary schools all over
Pampanga.
Division Memorandum No. 45, s. 2010:
Continuing Search for Outstanding Implementer (Administrator and Health/Nutrition
Leader) of the Integrated School Health/Nutrition Education Program
1. As a Divisions contributing program for a Culture of Excellence, the Search for
Outstanding Implementer (Administrator/Health/Nutrition Leader) of the
Integrated School Health/Nutrition Education Program will be implemented.
2. This program aims to:
a. Promote and strengthen further the integrated health/nutrition
education program as an integral part of the curriculum and as an
important requirement in ones life
b. To strengthen the role of an administrator and a leader as health
guardian
c. To internalize good health habits and practices among the school
populace

Medical Materials and Equipment

Foremost in the use of the school clinic is the treatment of simple ailments of the
school children or school personnel and the administration of first aid to major and
minor accidents which may occur in the school. The first aid facility is usually equipped
with a medicine cabinet, hot and cold water, heating unit, dressing table, two stools and
cot or bed.
