ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE
Back up to Nomination of Shri S.I. Hussain for Employee of the Year Award
1. TQM Initiatives- Shri Hussain is leader of the SANKAR QC in functioning
in CHP-EM section. This QC has been adjudged 7 th in Project level case study
presentation and has been nominated to represent KSTPS in National QC
convention at Trivandrum. He also regularly participates in suggestion scheme
and has given many cost effective suggestions.
2. Knowledge and Skill Enhancement- Shri Hussain has worked in several
sections of Electrical Maintenance and is well versed with all electrical
equipments. He has undergone specialized training on LT Switchgear
maintenance and Transformer Oil filtration techniques.
3. Community Work- Shri Hussain is actively involved in community work.
Currently he is holding the post of Joint Secretary in Pragati Club.
4. Sports Activities- Shri Hussain is a very good cricketer and sportsman. He
contributes both as a player and also as an official in cricket matches organized
in township.
5. Cultural Activities- Currently working as Secretary of Muslim Cultural
Society. Does stage mangement for all programmes organized in Pragati Club
and Ambedkar Bhavan.
6. Appreciation Letters- Total 07 nos in the period under review. The
outstanding works for which appreciation letters were issued Revival of roof exhausters of Stage-1 bunker floor.
Repair of Tacho-generator of SR-2.
HV Bushing oil leakage attending from Track Hopper-1 Service
Transformer-2.
Installation and commissioning of zero speed monitor for stage-2 crusher
rotors.
Extension of start/stop facility to CHP Control Room for MD 13A/B.
Provision of paddle feeder running status in Track Hopper MGR control
room.
Fire alarm system revival and commissioning of remote operation of
sprinkler system of CHP.
6. Star of the Month- Conferred Star Of the Month Award in Aug,04 and
June,05.
7. Other Noteworthy Achievement- Shri Hussain wholeheartedly participates in
all departmental activities like Viswakarma Puja Celebration, Arranging picnics/
get-togethers. He has excellent co-ordination and organizing skill.
