BEIJING
With a large population and a rich imperial heritage, the city has
more than 7,000 historical sites. The Great Wall of China, the
Palace Museum, the Tiananmen Square, The Temple of Heaven,
and The Summer Palace of Qing dynasty are Beijings
architectural wonders. Olympic Green, the main arena of 2008
Olympics Games, is among the modern wonders of the city.

XIAN

The city of Terracotta Warriors, Xian is the largest city in North


West China and the capital of Shaanxi Province. Most of Xians
historical heritage is encapsulated in the relics of terracotta
warriors. Other attractions include the City Wall, with a
circumference of 14 kms; the Epang Palace; the Tang Paradise; the
Great Cien Temple; and the Greater Wild Goose Pagoda.

SHANGHAI
Located on the Yangtze River delta, Shanghai has evolved from a
textile and fishing town to a global centre of commerce,
technology, media, fashion and tourism. Shanghai has a blend of
old and modern attractions Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the
Shanghai Museum and the Shanghai Theater, the Shanghai River
Cruise, the Shanghai Tourism Festival and the China
International Art Festival. The city is well-connected with other
global cities.

GUILIN
Home to several ethnic groups, Guilin is on the North East of
Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its attractions include
green mountains, exquisite waters, caves and rocks. The Lijiang
River flows from the Pearl River and has pure water. Elephant
Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Hill, and Longji Terraced fields at Longji
village are some other sites. The destination is also known for its
ethnic culinary fare.

LHASA
Located at the centre of Tibetan Plateau, Lhasa is the capital abode
of of the Tibet Autonomous Region and a spiritual Buddhists. It is
surrounded by the Himalayan ranges, and has many historical sites
such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sites, and and
Norbulingka, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sera Monastery.

GUANGZHOU
The largest industrial city and trade port in South China,
Guangzhou has an illustrious history kept alive by folk customs,
operas and monuments. Important tourist attractions include the
Zhenhai Tower, Five Immortals Temple, the Chens Shrine, and
the Tomb of Nanyue King. Guanzshou is well-connected by air,
rail and water with other cities of China.

HAINAN
Hainan is an island province in South China, across the Gulf of
Tonkin from Vietnam. It houses the Hainan Island, the
archipelagoes of Xisha, Zhongsha and Nansha, tropical beaches and
lush forests. The province is warm through the year. The capital
Haikou city is the most prominent cultural and economic centre.
The other large city is Sanya, often called the Hawaii of China.

QINGDAO
Located near Southern tip of the Shandong Peninsula, the
resort of Qingdao borders the Yellow Sea. Qingdao hosted
the sailboat competitions at the Olympic Games in 2008. The
city has the largest bathing beach in Asia. Its mountains are
punctuated by red-tiled homes of European architecture.

SHENZHEN
Situated 160 kms from Guangzhou and 35 kms from Kowloon in
Hong Kong, Shenzhen borders the Dapeng Bay in the East and
the estuary of the Pearl River in the West. The Dapeng Bay
connects the white beaches of Greater Meisha, Lesser Meisha,
Xichong, and Shuishatou. Shenzhen is popular due for its
Reservoir, the Xili and Xiangmi Lakes, and its natural landscape.
Shenzhen and rest of China are connected by air and rail.

LIJIANG
Lijiang is in the North West corner of Yunnan province. With
the Naxi minority group and Dongba culture, the town is a
UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. The Black Dragon pool
at Elephant Mountain, Baisha murals, and the Dry Sea at the
Jade Dragon Snow mountain are key attractions in Lijiang.
