Dear Sir:

I saw your advertisement on the monster board. Congratulations! Being able to expand
your business is a good accomplishment, especially in the current economic environment.
Having seen this Engineer ad, I thought it would be a good idea to tell you what I have
been doing for the past ten years.

I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with My Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Mechanics in 1997. My salary history includes the following firms: Acorn Engineering,
KDI, Discipline Management, Ethicon Endo Surgery, Adecco, Ohio Medical instrument
Company, Parkway Products, Aerotek, and SDRC.

My expertise includes designing machines with tight tolerances from plastic or stamped
steel parts. I've used many tools to make these products, including: CAD, FEA, GD&T,
ISO 9001 and common sense.

I used Solidworks for 5000 hours and SDRC Ideas for 12000 hours. I designed different
plastic injection parts and molds. My sheet metal experience includes panels, water
coolers, sinks and slender instruments. The intricate parts require laser cutting but some
can be made on a press brake. The largest panel I designed was one hundred inches long
by sixty inches wide. The gauge ranged was 24 to 10. The small slender medical grade
parts were close to 31 gauge.

During college I worked on a CAD customer phone support hotline, my goal was to fix
their problems. I worked for months at a customer site supporting the engineers. This
help included training and fixing problems. I trained new Finite element analysis users at
Black and Decker and high school students how use our product.

While working for Ohio Medical and later for Acorn, I managed entire projects. This
included investigating regulatory requirements and our market competitors, next was
product design. The first need was to meet the regulatory requirements of the FDA and
later the N.E.C. The second was the budget, I used off the shelf parts when possible to
reduce tooling cost. The explosion rated and composite parts are expensive so they were
used sparingly. Many vendors were involved so I weighed part volume verse type, like a
molded or stamped part. Our company was good at making stamped sheet metal parts so I
used these types when possible.

One project involved replacing steel links with disposable plastic links, to improve
performance and lower cost. For another project I used silicone and flexible steel for
parts on a device to treat acid reflux disease. I made several devices for doctors to use
energy to visualize different regions of the body.

For a short while I supervised a hydraulic pump, side rail and accessory options
production for hospital stretchers. In addition to this job I had to design a new product
and get quote feedback from vendors. It was a challenge to do both but I enjoyed
interacting with the factory employees quite a bit. To validate my calculations I
performed stress and cyclic loading tests of parts to evaluate their performance under
normal use for the entire part life span. I worked with some ethylene oxide sterilized
packs for disposable medical instruments.

Lastly, I spent three years working part time as a financial planner away from
engineering. I show prospective clients sales presentations and ways to maximize their
money. My resume shows that I have sales experience, drive, and determination.

As you can see during my career I had to solve design, cost, stress, material, cleaning,
environmental and manufacture problems, they were challenging and I enjoyed the work.
My schedule is open and I would like to meet with you at your convenience. I am
available to answer questions at (513) 885-6528, please call me If you have any
questions. Thank you very much for taking your time to consider me.
Sincerely,
Peter R. Kamuf
