1. I wish to apply for the said post. I am unable to find the Link. Can you please send
the direct link?
Answer: Link for applying online is available in the CAREERS portal of ISRO
Website www.isro.gov.in. Please click on the corresponding advertisement (Heading).
Next click on Visit Page link.
2. I have applied/registered for the said post. I did not get any email confirming my
registration. Where do I find the Registration Number?
Answer : Registration number appears on screen once application is successfully
submitted. That has to be noted down immediately. A separate email w i l l a l s o be
sent to your e-mail id.
3. My College/Institute/University name does not appear in the list given? Which
university should I select?
Answer : You may select other Universities option available in the drop down menu.
4. I am Male (General/OBC) candidate. I applied/registered for the said post. But I
am unable to get a Triplicate Challan Form. I am unable to get a Bank Challan
copy for payment of Fee.
Answer : All Women candidates; and Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST);
Ex- serviceman [EX] and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates are exempted
from payment of Application Fee. Please check if you have opted for any of these
categories.
5. I am Woman/Female (General/SC/ST/OBC/PWD) candidate. I applied/registered
for the said post. But I am unable to get a Triplicate Challan Form. I am unable to
get a Bank Challan copy for payment of Fee. How do I pay application fee?
Answer: All Women candidates (General/SC/ST/OBC/PWD) are exempted from
payment of Application Fee. Female candidates need not pay application fee. Hence
you will not get Bank Challan Copy. You will not get a Triplicate Registration Form.
6. I have applied/ registered successfully for the said post. What all documents I have
to send to ISRO Headquarters? Whether Application Print out has to be sent?
Whether I have to send my Photo? Where to upload my Photo?
Answer : Application print need not be sent. Please go through the Documents to be
sent to ISRO Headquarters, Bangalore column in the advt carefully. Only documents
required for your category must be sent.
7. I have successfully registered/applied for the said post. When will I get the Admit
Card for written test?
Answer : The call letters for the written test to the short-listed candidates will be sent
only by e-mail during the period as mentioned in the Advertisement/Notification.

8. I have successfully registered/applied for the said post. How do I send the required
documents to the ISRO HQ? ie by Speed Post/Ordinary Post/Registered
Post/Courier etc.
Answer : You may send the said documents by Ordinary Post only.
9. I am working in a private sector/MNC. Am I supposed to submit No Objection
Certificate?
Answer : Only Candidates employed Under Central/State Govt/Psu/ Autonomous Body
Should submit No Objection Certificate'.
10. I am employed Under Central/State Govt/Psu/ Autonomous Body. My employer
cannot give me NOC for written test. Can I produce/submit the No Objection
Certificate during Interview?
Answer: No. You will have to submit the No Objection Certificate by the date
mentioned in the Advertisement/Notification.
11. I am employed Under Central/State Govt/Psu/ Autonomous Body. Can I send the
No Objection Certificate to ISRO HQ separately or it has to be only sent along
with the other documents asked for?
Answer : You may send the No Objection Certificate either separately mentioning the
Registration details or along with the other documents ensuring it reaches us by the date
mentioned in the Advertisement/Notification.
12. I have applied for the said post. If I am not shortlisted for the written test.Whether
my Application Fee can be refunded?
Answer : No. The Application Fee is Non-refundable and shall not be refunded in any
case.
13. I have applied/registered for the said post. I have committed error while entering
DOB/Name/Address/Marks etc? Can I rectify the details?
Answer : No. There is no provision for editing the details. Hence you may reconfirm
all the details entered before final submission.
14. I have applied/registered for the said post. Can I change the Examination Centre?
Answer : No. There is no provision for editing the details. Hence you may reconfirm
the Exam Centre opted for before final submission.
15. Whether the posts Scientist/Engineer-SC are meant for only Schedule Caste
candidates?
Answer: SCIENTIST/ENGINEER "SC" is only a designation and does not pertain to
any specific caste/religion etc.
16. I wish to apply for the said post. My seventh/eight semesters results are not
declared. I am unable to proceed with the Application.

Answer: In the seventh/eighth semester field you may enter zero out of zero and
proceed further. Be sure that the aggregate marks in the remaining semesters is 65%
and above.
17. I applied for the post of Sci/Engr-SC (Civil/Electrical/Refrigeration &
Air-Conditioning/Architecture) Please provide Syllabus and Exam pattern.
Answer: Syllabus of the written test will be based on the curriculum taught in
BE/BTech in Civil/Electrical/Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning/Architecture
whichever is applicable and test will be objective type.
18. I wish to apply for the post of Sci/EngrSC. Is there any relaxation in Educational
Qualification/Marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD Candidates?
Answer : No. There is no relaxation in marks for any categories. However, Age
relaxation and Fee exemption is provided to certain categories as mentioned in the
Advertisement/Notification.
19. I am an ex-serviceman. I wish to apply for the post of Sci/EngrSC. What is the
age relaxation provided to Ex-servicemen?
Answer: Age relaxation is as per the Government of India rules. Depends on the
number of years of service, age etc.
20. Please find attached herewith my CV/ Resume. Kindly let me know whether I am
eligible for the said post. Please inform as to when can I attend the Interview?
Answer: Only online applications are accepted. You may visit our website
www.isro.gov.in to apply.
21. I wish to apply for the said post. But I am unable to find my branch/division in
the drop down menu. Am I eligible to apply?
Answer : candidates with qualifications mentioned under our drop down menu only are
eligible.
22. It is mentioned in the advt Posts are Temporarary, likely to continue. What
does this mean? Whether the posts are contractual/permanent?
Answer: The posts are permanent, but will remain Temporary until the completion of
probationary period.
23. I have applied for the said post. I have made the payment in the Bank and sent the
challan to ISRO HQ. But my application status shows Reconciliation of challan is
in progress.
Answer: This means that the validation of challans received by post from the
candidates is under process. The status shall change/get updated once the challan is
validated in the system. After the validation process is over an update shall be
published in the ISRO website Advt. Link. Those candidates who have made
payment and sent the challan to ISRO HQ and still find that their application status is
not updated after the validation process is over, may contact ICRB team over
email/telephone numbers published against the advt.

24. Can a candidate apply for both the posts notified for Civil discipline i.e. BE-004
(Group A Gazetted Post) and BE-008 (Group A Non-Gazetted Post)?
Answer: Yes, candidates may apply for both the posts.
25. Can a candidate apply for both the posts notified for Electrical discipline i.e.
BE-005 (Group A Gazetted Post) and BE-009 (Group A Non-Gazetted Post)?
Answer: Yes, candidates may apply for both the posts.
26. I wish to apply for both the posts notified for Electrical discipline i.e. BE-005
(Group A Gazetted Post) and BE-009 (Group A Non-Gazetted Post)? Do I have
to submit separate online applications for both the posts?
Answer: Yes, as it clearly seen that there are two separate links for applying for the said
posts, candidates willing to apply for both posts have to submit the online applications
for both the posts separately.

(Group A Gazetted Post) and BE-008 (Group A Non-Gazetted Post)? Do I have

Non-Gazetted Post)? Do I have to remit application fee separately for both the
posts?
Answer: Yes, it is clearly notified in the advertisement: - Those candidates desirous to
apply for the post of BE008 and BE009 in SCL, Chandigarh, have to separately remit
application fee of Rs.100/- .All Women candidates (General/SC/ST/OBC/PWD) are
exempted from payment of Application Fee.
29. I have already submitted online applications for both the posts notified for
Electrical discipline i.e. BE-005 (Group A Gazetted Post) and BE-009 (Group A
Non-Gazetted Post)? Do I have to remit application fee separately for both the
posts?
Answer: Yes, it is clearly notified in the advertisement: - Those candidates desirous to
apply for the post of BE008 and BE009 in SCL, Chandigarh, have to separately remit
application fee of Rs.100/-. All Women candidates (General/SC/ST/OBC/PWD) are
exempted from payment of Application Fee.

the written test will be conducted separately on different days with different
papers?
Answer: No. There will be single written test and single question paper for the above
posts though applications are separate. Hence there is no specific mention about a
different paper / separate examination in the notification/advertisement.
34. I have already submitted online applications for both the posts notified for
Electrical discipline i.e. BE-005 (Group A Gazetted Post) and BE-009 (Group A
