The Indian Premier League is more about emotions and whims than form and performance.
Players who are consistent and highly-rated don't find buyers while nondescript entities
fetch solid rates.
Here are some top draws who went unsold in Saturday's auction ahead of the ninth edition of
the Twenty20 league.

George Bailey
eorge Bailey was among the runs during the recent series against India.
Moreover, he captained Kings XI Punjab admirably in the last couple of seasons.
Yet, this was not enough to convince the franchise that his base price (Rs 1 crore) was worth it.
* Australian T20 captain Aaron Finch was also unsold after the initial round.
However, it the accelerated bids later, he was the first marquee player up for
sale. Gujarat Lions snapped him up for his base price (Rs 1 crore)

Unsold
by Sensor Technologies (View MyPage) on Feb 07, 2016 11:51 AM
They remain unsold not because of their capabilities but because of the restriction on the number of foreign players
in playing 11. These foreign player would not be fitting into the teams that have more number of players.

Inexperienced Journalists

This is actually a classy case of inexperience in field of business and cricket. The writer is completely wrong. The
only reason why foreign players are unsold and lot of money is spent on Indian uncapped players is their is rule of
playing max 4 foreign players in the playing XI. So obviously one has to spend more on indian uncapped players
rather than on high profile foreign players
