as well as special grades, like precipitation hardening grades (PH), duplex
and alloys for surgical implants.

Devido sua composio balanceada e utilizao de

modernos processos de refino, como o VOD (Vacuum
Oxygen Decarburization) e ESR (Electro Slag Remelting),
os aos inoxidveis da Villares Metals apresentam resistncia
corroso superior e uma excelente processabilidade. So
utilizadas as melhores prticas de lingotamento, como
lingotamento contnuo e lingotamento indireto de lingotes,
comparveis s dos melhores produtores do mundo.

Due to their balanced chemical compositions and to the utilization of

modern refining process, like VOD (Vacuum Oxygen Decarburisation)
and ESR (Electro Slag Remelting) the VMSA stainless steels present
superior corrosion resistance with excellent processing performance. The
best casting practices are used, like continuous casting and indirect ingot
casting, comparable to the ones used by the best world manufacturers.

High corrosion and high strengh austenitic stainless steel with high Cr and Ni with aditions of Mn, Mo, Nb,
V and N. It can be used at solution annealed condition, for high corrosion resistance, mainly in marine
environments. It can also be used at as rolled condition, for high strengh.
It is used in chemical&petrochemical, oil&gas and naval industries and in surgical implants.

XM19 steel specific for nautical applications, such as boat propeller shafts. Finishing conditions

resistncia corroso intergranular aps a solda ou alvio de tenses. Indicado, especialmente, para fabricao
de conjuntos soldados, que no podem ser austenitizados aps a solda.

Elevada resistncia corroso e ao calor. Resiste oxidao at temperatura de 1100 C
quando a solicitao intermitente.
High corrosion and heat resistance; resists oxidation up to 1100 C in continuous service and up to 1000 C
when intermittently used.
Ao inoxidvel austentico utilizado em aplicaes que requerem uma maior resistncia
ao calor que a do ao V310.
Stainless steel used in applications that demands more heat resistance than that provided by 310.
Ao inoxidvel austentico com adio de molibdnio e que possui boa resistncia corroso quando exposto gua do mar.
Indicado, tambm, para certas aplicaes em temperaturas elevadas e meios oxidantes at 900 C, em solicitao contnua
at 850 C, em trabalho intermitente.
Austenitic stainless steel with added molybdenum, which has a good corrosion resistance when exposed to seawater. Also
indicated for certain applications at high temperatures and oxidizing environments up to 900 C in continuous service,
and up to 850 C in intermittent service.
Ao similar com aplicao idntica do ao V316, porm, com teor de carbono bem mais baixo, o que o torna bem mais
resistente corroso intergranular aps o alvio de tenses. Indicado para fabricao de conjuntos soldados que no

Similar steel with application identical to V316, but with much lower carbon content, which makes it

Ao inoxidvel endurecvel por precipitao, de matriz martenstica de baixo carbono, que apresenta
ultra-alta resistncia mecnica associada boa tenacidade. Utilizado em componentes e peas estruturais
que necessitam de resistncia corroso nas indstrias qumica, de papel & celulose, alimentos, O&G e,
principalmente, aeronutica. Utilizado desde em componentes das asas at em pequenas buchas.
Precipitation Hardenable stainless steel, with a low carbon martensite microstructure, which has ultra-high tensile
strength with good toughness. Used as structural components and parts which require corrosion resistance in
chemical, paper, food, Oil&Gas and, mainly, Aerospace industries. It is used as wing components and several bushings.
Ao inoxidvel endurecvel por precipitao, de matriz martenstica de baixo carbono, com resistncia
mecnica superior em relao ao ao N4540 mantendo boa tenacidade. Mais indicado para aplicaes que
exigem tenacidade em sees de maior dimetro e no sentido transversal. Resistncia corroso similar do
ao inoxidvel austentico 304L. Apesar de ser utilizado em diversos segmentos, como o N4540, na indstria
aeroespacial que encontra suas principais aplicaes. Componentes estruturais do trem de pouso e pinos
fusveis do pilone (estrutura que une a fuselagem do motor asa) so exemplos de peas feitas deste ao.
Precipitation Hardenable stainless steel, with a low carbon martensite microstructure, with tensile strength higher
than N4540 steel keeping good toughness. More indicated for applications which require toughness in large sections
and in transverse direction. Corrosion resistance similar of the austenitic stainless steel 304L. Although used in
several segments, like N4540, it is in the Aerospace industry that this steel has your main applications. Landing Gear
structural components and pylon screws are examples of parts produced with this steel.

SUPERDUPLEX
Aos inoxidveis superduplex (PREN = 40) que apresentam resistncia mecnica, resistncia corroso e
tenacidade baixa temperatura superiores aos aos inoxidveis duplex comuns. Apresenta elevada resistncia
corroso por pites e a ambientes que contm cloretos. utilizado principalmente em plataformas martimas
de extrao de petrleo, leo e gs, como em bombas, vlvulas, flanges e tubulaes.
Super duplex stainless steel (PREN = 40) that shows mechanical resistance and corrosion resistance at
low temperatures, higher than the common duplex stainless steels. It has a high pitting corrosion resistance
and it is resistant to chlorine containing environment. It is mainly used in offshore oil producing platforms, oil
and gas, used in pumps, valves, flanges and tubing.
