Self Reflection
One semester had already passed with enjoyable. Learning and
evaluation are two most important thing in international language testing
course. Learning without evalaution is nothing.International language
testing neded for us to evaluate how far our ability in English. hence, we
had learn and evaluate international language testing. Here I will share my
feeling about my preception in international language testing ability,
feedback in close book jounals, and my changes in close book journals.
International language testing course is quite dificullt for me. I got
zero poin in pre test TOEFL, it is make me afraid in the final result. I try to
learn grammar and I also discuss reading assesment with my friend. My
friend and I make group disscusion for discuss the close book journal. This
is make me more understand and motivated in reading. Every week, I
always read book or journal based on the read assesment. Honestly, I
want to get A score in the final result, but I think it is impossible for me to
get it. May be, I just get A- or B+ in the final score. This is because of my
close book journal score unconsistance. Sometimes, it is incresed and
decreased.
Every week, we got assesment by close book journal. Read and then
we write the answer of close book journal questions. Somehow, we should
understand and write the contain of book or journal that we had read.
Learning by using close book journal assesment improve my writing skills.
Althought, My writing skill still not good, I feel enjoy in writing. Talking
about close book journal, we not only write and then get score but we get
feedback after we had write it. I really like with feedback that I got,
because it is make me motivated in writing. When I got the feedback, I
disscuss with my friend about my writing and correct my grammar in
writing close book journal. Each week, I had different feedback.
Sometimes, it is good and bad. I think in giving feedback, the lectur not
only give mark or correting the

grammar but also tell the example of

good writing. I thought, when The good example show in students, it will
improve student motivated in writing. Showing the score close book

journal in front of class, it increase my compete in writing. I try do best
when writing close book journal and I always hope to get the high score in
close book journal. Learning is not to get high score, but getteing high
score is motivated every students.
My writing skill has changed because of writing close book journal
continously. This is because of my score in close book journal had
changed. I ever got 2.3 twice, 1.9 , 2.1, 2.7, and 3 score. The other close
book journal is still in ms. Jakie and twice week I didnt join in close book
jounal because I was sick. The close book journals make me aware of
reading significant. It is enrich my vocabullary and knowledge. Honestly, I
dont like reading journal before, but after I got this assesment, I try to
love reading journal and disscuss the journal with my group work to
increase motivate in this learning. Hence, close book journal is effective
for me to influence my writing skill.

Course Reflection
International language testing is one of obligation courses in this
semester. This subject divide into three chapters (TOEFL, IELTS, and close
book journals). This course is quite dificult for me especially in IELTS
listening. This is my first time to do IELTS test. In this test, I found the
differences betwen IELTS and TOEFL. IELTS is more difficult than TOEFL. I
feel anxious when doing IELTS test. Hence, I learn more about IELTS. Here I
will share my feeling in learning International language testing, the most
my favorite activites in this learning, and my evaluation about this course.
Firstly, I feel challenge to learn international language testing. These
tests influence in my English skills. Hence, I ought to master four basic of
English such as listening, reading comprehension, speaking, and writing.
Whereas, Im bad in speaking and writing. I feel bad in my grammar. This
is accour in feedback in my close book journal. There are many failure
grammar in my writing. Actually, International language testing is very
important to support English ability. This is because one of obligation to
study abroad is matser in international language testing. So, this is a new
challange for me to learn international language testing.
International language testing course have many activities to
support learning. They are self recording, reading and close book journal,

discuss journal, TOEFL and IELTS test practice, and listening to teacher
story telling. For me, TOEFL and IELTS test practice are significant thing in
learning international language testing. Thus, I prefer to choose TOEFL
and IELTS test practice as my favorite part in this course. This part
improving my score in TOEFL and IELTS. Both of them are ways to master
various (listening, reading, speaking,and writing) skills in English. Practice
as continously make me more confident in TOEFL and IELTS test.
This course had already done with learning enjoyable subject.
Sometimes, I thought that not all of activities in this course are effective
to improve TOEFL and IELTS score. Actually, the purpose of learn this
subject is to improve students ability in international language testing.
Story telling is one of subject that not effective in this course. Students
only guess and listen the teacher story. I think, this way more appropriate
to students in the first semester not for students in the six semester. In
this course, I feel more focuses in close book journals and I chasing the
score in close book journals. Whereas, close book journal is only to
improve wtiting skills in IELTS. The main focus in this course is not only
writing but reading comprehension, listening, and speaking are important.
I suggest this course should focus on TOEFL and IELTS practice. Practice as
continoulsy make the students familar with question of TOEFL or IELTS. To
the fore, I hope in this course also combine the geme learning. This is to
gaining attention students when they was bored in learning. Hence, with
practice as contionusly and enjoyable activity will improve the students to
get better skills in international language testing.
