hereunder:Quotation documents can be obtained from the AO [Cash] on
payment of Rs.158/- (Inclusive of 5% VAT). Those who have downloaded
the Quotation Document from the Trusts Website should send a Demand
Draft for Rs.158/- (Inclusive of 5% VAT), being the non-refundable sum
towards the cost of Quotation Document, in favor of CHAIRMAN, Chennai
Port Trust at Chennai along with Quotation Document.

QUOTATION FOR ENGAGING OF THIRD PARTY INSPECTION (TPI) AGENCY

FOR UPGRADATION OF ELECTRICAL SUBSTATION AT JAWAHAR
BUILDING IN CHENNAI PORT TRUST TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
SCHEDULE - A
1.0

GENERAL:
Chennai Port Trust propose to engage Third Party Inspection agency for up

gradation of electrical substation at Jawahar building in chennai port trust.

2.0

SCOPE OF WORK:
i)

The Scope of Work which includes Stage Inspections at Manufacturers

work site and at erection site, based on the approved Quality Assurance
Plan (QAP) and also to carry out Testing and Commissioning of entire
work at site. After stage inspection at Manufacturers work site, TPI
shall issue the dispatch clearance of the materials.

ii)

The TPI Agency shall visit the site at Chennai Port Trust, Chennai,
during testing and commissioning of entire 11KV power supply
arrangements at site.

iii)

The TPI Agency shall issue the release note at every stage for making
payment to the contractor as per the payment terms.

iv)

The firms shall visit the following:

1. Works :

Substation
RMU Unit
LT panel
HT & L.T. cables

2. Erection work : Jawahar building Chennai Port Trust.

3. Civil work : Jawahar building Chennai Port Trust.

3.0. QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

11 KV Sub-station including HT/LT Switch Gear and Transformer. The
Agency shall produce copy of the Work Order for having carried out similar type
of work during the last five years along with Completion Certificate duly
mentioning Work Order reference value and date.
3.0.OTHER CONDITIONS:
1. TPI shall carryout the inspection at Manufactures works at Chennai
2. Scope of inspection as per Technical Specification, approved drawings,
relevant standards, etc.
3. The offered rate should be inclusive of all taxes and duties inclusive of
travel expenses, boarding & lodging, other incidental charges, etc.
4 . Service Tax will be paid extra as per the prevailing rules and regulations.
5. All necessary facilities for inspection (viz, Instruments, Test equipments,
drawings, specifications) shall be arranged by the contractor.
6. After successful inspection, the TPI agency shall give the dispatch
clearance.
7. After commissioning and handing over of entire 11 KV power supply
arrangements, the final inspection report to be submitted.
4.0

VALIDITY:
The prices quoted by the Tender must be firm and should hold good at least for
120
days from the date of opening of the quotation. They should be inclusive of
Sales Tax or any other tax dues etc. The Board does not bind itself accept
Claims for extra payments for items not included in the tender.

5.0. PAYMENT TERMS:

i)

70% payment will be made after completion of stage inspections and

all materials for providing 11KV power supply arrangements at
Manufacturers Works and site work through e-payment.

ii)

Balance 30 % payment will be released on satisfactory completion of

erection, testing and commissioning of entire work.

NOTE Payment will be released on submission of bills with inspection

report in all respects.

(i)

(ii)

Income tax @ 2% with applicable surcharge & education cess shall be

levied U/S 194 (c) of Income Tax Act 1961. Similarly Tamil Nadu Value
Added Tax as per Section 13 of T.N.VAT Act 2006 shall also be deducted. In
case of exemption from the above levy necessary non-deduction certificate
shall be produced by the tenderer from Income Tax /Commercial Tax office
respectively.
The tenderer shall quote the Bank Account details for the payment through
ECS along with PAN. A copy of the Pan Card shall be furnished

The firm shall furnish the Schedule of Prices and Quantities (Schedule
A1) as per Technical specification Schedule A.
