The University provides the following notification of grade profiles and course places to enable
prospective applicants to make informed choices in their application for admission to NUS
undergraduatecourses.

Representativegradeprofiles1 ofthe10thand90thpercentilesofapplicantsofferedplacesinAY
2013/2014forapplicantsholdingSingaporeCambridgeGCEAlevelqualificationsareshownin
Table 1. The grade profiles refer to the grades scored by SingaporeCambridge Alevel
applicantsintheirthreeH2andoneH1subjects.Forthepurposeofthisnotification,GradeCis
assumedforbothGeneralPaper(GP)andProjectWork(PW)indeterminingthegradeprofiles.
PleasenotethatcertaincoursesmayrequiregradeshigherthanGradeCforGP.Pleasereferto
Table 1 for the Grade Profiles of the 10th and 90th percentiles of Alevel applicants offered
placesforcoursesatNUSinAY2013/2014.

RepresentativepolytechnicGradePointAverages(GPA)ofthe10thand90thpercentilesoflocal
polytechnicapplicantsofferedplacesforcoursesatNUSinAY2013/2014areshowninTable2.
PleasenotethatinadditiontothePolytechnicGPA,theSingaporeCambridgeOlevelresultsof
polytechnic applicants are also taken into account for university admissions. Please refer to
Table 2 for the Polytechnic GPAs of the 10th and 90th percentiles of polytechnic applicants
offeredplacesforcoursesatNUSinAY2013/2014.

The number of course places taken up NUS for AY 2013/2014 is shown in Table 3. It is
importanttonotethatthenumberofcourseplaceschangesfromyeartoyear.

ApplicantsseekingadmissioninAY2014/2015canexpectcompetitiontobekeenerforcourseswith
more stringent grade requirements and fewer places. In using the tables below, please note the
following:

The grade profiles, GPAs and course places may vary from year to year, depending on the
numberandperformanceofapplicantsandthenumberofplacesavailable.

Meeting the previous years grade/GPA scores of a course does NOT guarantee admission to
thatcourseforAY2014/2015.

The courses marked with an asterisk (*) are those where additional assessments such as
interviews,selectiontests,andportfoliosarerequired.

Certain courses may have specific subject requirements. Details can be found at NUS
admissionswebsite.

Formoreinformationonthedisclosureofgradeprofiles,pleaserefertoourFAQhere.

TheseprovideanindicationofthegradeprofilesforthemajorityofapplicantsadmittedinAY2013/2014.There
couldbeotherequivalentprofilesforeachcourse.Forexample,agradeprofileofABC/Ccouldbeconsideredto
bebroadlyequivalenttoBBB/C,unlessthereareotherprerequisites.
