A. Mandate and Functions


To develop the ceramics industry in Biliran Province by generating a pool of skilled manpower through training and responsive extension services
and developing technologies through research in advancing the industry while producing high quality ceramics products for the local and
international market.

B. Goals
To operate the Center in a progressive and profitable manner focusing on income generation and market expansion as an incentive to the conduct of
relevant researches resulting to product improvement and development, streamlining of the production process and technology transfer to
communities eager to earn additional income from ceramics-related economic activities.

C. Objectives
The following are the specific objectives of the Center:
1. To operate the Center in an efficient and effective manner generating surplus income thus becoming a significant contributor in the
attainment of income-generating objectives of NSU.
2. To capacitate the Center in efficiently producing ceramic products by streamlining its production process and the procurement of necessary
facilities and equipments.
3. To utilize relevant research methodologies and initiatives in the improvement of the production process, generation of technology, conduct of
market studies, and other related research needs.
4. To profitably operate the Center through market expansion and development thereby enticing communities to engage in ceramic-based
economic activities.
5. To conduct effective extension services to communities interested in ceramics-based livelihood activities through training, technology transfer,
and other extension service activities.
