The document argues that the voting age should be raised from 18 to 21 years old for three key reasons:
1) 18-year-olds are not mature enough to vote as they have just finished high school and are not interested in politics or knowledgeable about candidates.
2) 18-year-olds are not very involved in society as they have just graduated, do not understand how the economy and government work, and are still living at home.
3) 18-year-olds do not have the appropriate responsibility to vote or participate as electoral jurors, as they dislike voting, do not show up if elected as jurors, and vote randomly without care about elections.

Are you in favor or against for raising the voting age?
Voting is the main feature of democracy. It is the expression of our opinion and preference. In Bolivia we are authorized to vote from 18 years old. Many people think that is a good age to vote. However, others people think that 18-years person are not prepare to vote and the voting age should be raised. I am in favor of raising the voting age for the following reasons. Firstly, 18 years old people are not mature enough to vote. Firstly, 18 years old people are recently finishing the high school, so they are not very interested in politics. For example, many young people of 18 years old dont care about who will govern their country. Moreover, 18 years old people do not know the candidates and theirs proposals. For instance, many young people vote for the candidate whose their parents vote. Finally, 18 years old people sometimes dont go to vote because they dont care about it. To illustrate, in the last election many young people did not go to vote and others were not even registered. Secondly, 18 years old people are not very involved in society. To begin with, 18 years old people are recently graduated from the high school, so they dont know about how the society works and how it influence the economy. For example, young people dont know how fiscal politic and monetary politic affect the economy and society. On the other hand, 18 years old people are still living at home and are still naive to certain aspects of life. To illustrate, they dont know how the government obtains its resources. Finally, 18 years old people dont work, so they dont know the benefits that the governments give to people. For example, labor benefits or retirement. In conclusion, 18 years old people dont have enough knowledge about how society functions. Thirdly, 18 years old people do not have appropriate responsability to do their duty as a voter or electoral jury. Firstly, 18 years old people dont like to go to vote. For instance, my cousin hates to go voting. On the other hand, when they are elected as a electoral jury, they dont go. For example, In many polling booth there werent the enough number of electoral juries because some of them were 18 years old people last year. Finally, 18 years old people think that elections dont matter or that is a waste of time. For example, many 18 years old people vote at random because they dont care about the elections. Thus, the voting age should be raised, since people should have more experience before voting. 18 years old people are not mature enough to vote, they are not involved in society and they dont have the appropriate responsability to do their duty as a voter. I highly recommend that the coting age should be raised to 21 years.
