More allegations have been brought forth against the former Makati City mayor and members of
his family since then.
Plunder cases have been recommended. Suspension orders against his son Makati Mayor
Junjun Binay have been released, the first one stopped by the Court of Appeals.

The Vice President has repeatedly branded the allegations as lies and called the subcommittee
partial and a tool in a demolition campaign.
Just last month, Binay said that he has had enough and filed a P200-million damage suit against
the lawmakers conducting the inquiry, the Ombudsman and subcommittee resource person
former Vice Mayor Ernesto Mercado.
Still, there appears to be no stopping the investigation as Senator Antonio Trillanes IV promised
to present more evidence against the second highest elected o!icial.
