Brief description of the project

Promotion of educational infrastructure is one

amongst the many initiatives being taken up by
the government on a priority basis.
International schools are being promoted to
provide world-class education to the students
and also as a tool to attract foreign investments
to Andhra Pradesh. It is well known that
availability of international schools is an
important consideration for non-Indian staff of
MNCs who come to India.
The international School id developed through
PPP (DBFOT model) and Revenue share as the
criteria for selection. The concession period is 33
years.
The international school could follow the
syllabus of either IB, IGCSE along with the
option of CBSE/ICSE or any other
international, national or AP State Board.
The awareness of international school
curriculum (such as IB, IGCSE etc.) is
increasing amongst the parents and therefore the
demand for international schools in the country.
It offers benefits such as differentiated learning /
curriculum, global student mix, state of the art
infrastructure, opportunity to pursue higher
10

education in globally reputed

faculty quality and diversity etc.

IWT is an economic, fuel efficient, environmental friendly and

low cost transport mode.
The project will be an important component of the state logistics.
As NW-4 is along the coastline it will serve the ports of the state
and reduce cargo congestion from roads and rails. The modal shift
of cargo evacuation will also reduce the average cost of evacuation
as IWT is a low cost transport mode.
Construction and operation of the project will also boost the
industries and manufacturing sector.
This project will also incentivize potential investors to invest in
other projects like greenfield ports, beach corridor etc.
