ARC312: ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN-VI

Major Design Project: Design of Multi-specialty Hospital with 300 beds in sector-9, Dwarka, New
Delhi
1.0 INTRODUCTION: Delhi government has proposed construction of new hospitals in different
parts of the city to curb the problems related to the health of common people. These hospitals will
be constructed on the basis of PPP model. One of the sites for the hospital is in Sector-9, Dwarka.
The thrust of the proposed design is expected to be energy efficient with due focus on climate,
existing surroundings, existing context, services, structure, local materials etc.
2.0 Site: Site is located in near Dwarka district court in Sector-10, Dwarka, new delhi . The site area is
5 acres. The site is subjected to the unified building bye-laws as per the Delhi Master Plan.

Note:
You can add spaces for increasing the efficiency of the hospital.
Adequate number of male and female toilets to be provided as per standards.
Every waiting area nearby should have a drinking facility and one such outlet on every floor of the wards.
Space for electric distribution board and fire hydrants should be given at appropriate locations.
