Unfortunately some of us have difficulty sleeping. To go to sleep, we must relax physically and

Physical insomnia is caused by pain, muscular tension, restless legs, and the inability to relax the
muscles. Magnesium 250 to 750 mg at bed time helps the muscles relax (too much can cause diarrhea).

Our featured pet this week comes to us

from Stanton, and boy is this kitty ever in
need of a good home! Albert is a hand-
some orange and buff colored male cat
who is just one of the many homeless
animals available for adoption at the
Montcalm County Animal Shelter in
Stanton. He was picked up as a stray on
April 8, and unless his owners come to
claim him, Albert will be available for
adoption on April 15. This cat weighs
about 15 lbs, and is very shy - you can
tell he is not happy here in the shelter!
This poor kitty got something stuck in
his eye roaming around outside, so he
needs a good caring owner who will watch over him to make sure
he doesn’t get hurt. Albert has a shelter ID# of 10/04/10.

Many other cats besides Albert are available to be adopted, and

plenty of dogs too. Go online to
www.petfinder.com/shelters/montcalm.html
for a full list of adoptable animals.
There is a $40 adoption fee for dogs, $20 for cats, as well as a
refundable spay/neuter deposit ($50 for dogs, $25 for cats) unless the
animal is “fixed” already.
The Montcalm County Animal Shelter is open to the public Monday
thru Friday from 12:30pm to 5pm. Call 989-831-7355 or 616-
225-7355 for more information. New animals are brought into
the shelter on a daily basis, so if the one you want is gone by the time
you call, the Montcalm County Animal Shelter will do its best to find
you a dog or cat that matches what you’re looking for!
