sketching, Computer Aided Drawing and Design (AutoCAD) and modeling as well as visual
presentation skills.
:After successfully completing this course, the students will be able to
1. Draw Plan, Elevation and Section views of simple engineering projects.
2. Read and determine drawing scales.
3. Draw orthographic views.
4. Draw a legible freehand isometric sketch of an engineering item.
5. Use dimensioning
6. Implement Working Drawing
7. Use of computer graphics tools to produce 2D and 3D detailed drawings

Description: Introduction to Engineering Drawing. Sketching, type of lines, Scales, Engineering Construction and Geometry, Theory of Orthographic
Projection, Pictorial drawing, Isometrics and Oblique. Drawing Sections, Working Drawing, Dimensioning and Introduction to computer Aided Drafting
(AutoCAD). Applications cover details and drawings in all civil engineering areas such as Highway Engineering (highway plans, horizontal and vertical
alignment, typical sections, drainage systems, and roundabouts), Structural Engineering (details for reinforced concrete and steel structures), Water and
Environmental Engineering (pipes and drainage structures), and Foundation Engineering (soil profiles).
