7. How do I earn the 5% and 2% Cash Rebate?


You will earn 5% Cash Rebate for transactions (inclusive of overseas / foreign currency spending) made
on E-Commerce (excluding transaction made on Airlines, Insurance, Utility and Mobile Bill Payments) and
2% Cash Rebate for Petrol, Groceries, Utility and Mobile Bill Payments from eligible merchants as stated

8. Is there a maximum amount of the Cash Rebate that I can earn for transactions set out under the
table above?
The total Cash Rebate amount which you can earn for transactions set out in the table above is subject to a
maximum of RM50.00 per month/per customer; and inclusive of any tactical campaigns thereafter.
With the exception of E-Commerce/ Online Spend category which is subject to a sub-limit whereby
the maximum Cash Rebate the Cardholder can earn is RM30.00

9. Will the 5% and 2% Cash Rebate entitlement on my Supplementary Card amount be tabulated into
my own Principal account?
No, both the Principal and Supplementary Cardholder will be entitled upto RM50.00 each per month/per
card and credited into respective card account.

10. How is my 5% and 2% Cash Rebate calculated?


Qualifying transactions must be posted to the Cardholders credit card account before the statement date
which is on the 28th of every month. Transactions posted to the Cardholders Cash Rebate Card account on
the same date as the statement date shall be treated as qualifying transactions for the following month.
The Cash Rebate earned shall be utilized towards payment of the outstanding balances due on the
Cardholders Cash Rebate Card account.

11. Are there any insurance coverage benefits attached to this card?
There is no insurance coverage for this product.

12. Will I get Cash Rebates on overseas spend/transactions?


Yes, Cash Rebates are inclusive of overseas/foreign currency spending which will be converted to Ringgit
Malaysia (RM) and shall be based on CIMBs transaction records only.

13. What is the maximum Cash Rebate I can earn under the 0.2% Cash Rebate on other retail spending
category?
There is no maximum capping and the Cash Rebate earned shall be utilized towards payment of the
outstanding balances due on the Cardholders Cash Rebate Card account.

14. What transactions are excluded under the 0.2% Cash Rebate on other retail spending category?

Balance Transfer, CashLite and Cash Advance transactions;

Quasi Cash transactions (example: betting and/or gaming transactions);

Late payment charges, reversals, fraudulent retail transactions and other fees and charges;

Transactions made by the Cardholders with any merchant associated with or controlled by them or their
family members (whether as employee, employer, shareholder or director). i.e. transactions by a
Cardholder with any corporation or business entity in which he is an or any of his family members are
employee or employer or works with or has shares or interest in or is a director of.

Transactions where the Cardholder has elected to make repayment of the transactions by Monthly
installments under any installment payment facility provided by CIMB or other banks and CIMB elects
to grant the Cardholder the Cash Rebates on such Monthly installments; and

Repayment of Monthly installments under any installment payment facility provided by CIMB or other
banks (where the Cardholder has elected to make repayment of the original transaction by such Monthly
installments) where CIMB elects to grant the Cardholder the Cash Rebates on the original transaction.

Any determination by CIMB as to what types of transactions are excluded from the entitlement to Cash
Rebates shall be final and conclusive and shall not be challenged in any manner whatsoever.

15. What is this 10% Cash Rebate on Finance Charges about?


Assuming the Cardholders Cash Rebate Card outstanding balance is not fully settled, the outstanding
balance not paid will attract finance charges on a tiered basis in accordance with the CIMB Cardholder
Agreement. Cardholder of the Cash Rebate Card will earn 10% Cash Rebate on such finance charges
charged and such rebate will be reflected on the billed statement and used only towards payment of the
finance charges charged by CIMB.
The 10% Cash Rebate on Finance Charges is not applicable for closed/blocked or overdue accounts.

16. Is there a maximum capping on how much Cash Rebate I get on the 10% Cash Rebate on Finance
Charges category?
No, there is no maximum amount on the Cash Rebate which you can earn.

17. Will I get 10% Cash Rebate on Finance Charges for Cash Advance transactions?
No, it is only applicable for finance charges on outstanding retail transactions only.

18. When will I get my 10% Cash Rebate on Finance Charges


The rebate will be calculated and posted in Cardholder statement calculated upto the statement date which is
the 28th of every month.

19. When is my statement date?


CIMBs statement date for the Cash Rebate Card is currently the 28

th

of every month.

20. Can I choose to change my statement date?


No, the Cash Rebate Card statement date is set at 28th of every month.

21. How will I know which merchants are eligble for the cash rebates?
The assignment of Merchant Category Code or MCC for each merchant is subject to classification by the
respective acquiring banks and it is the responsibility of the particular acquiring bank to assign the correct
Merchant Category Code to the relevant transaction.
