TASK 1 (60%)
Students are required to do an academic writing (60%) based on the topic below:
Human capital that we would like to develop should not only be equipped with
knowledge and skills alone but also be strengthened with good characteristics
and noble values. To me, morale aspects, good manners, integrity, honesty
and noble values are important components in nation building and achieving
sustainable economic development

Students are divided into groups to prepare for the presentation based on the

1. Elaborate the factors that affect the change in school curriculum. Suggest the
curriculum aspects that can be improvised to strengthen the existing curiculum of the
primary schools. Justify your point of view.

2. Discuss the role of a teacher as an implementing agent. Discuss the ways that can be
taken to deliver the teaching and learning process in your specialization effectively.

3. Compare and contrast the constructive curriculum theory based on objective and
process model. How can this models be applied on teaching and learning of your
major subject.
4. Discuss the implementation of KSSR and the ways that can be taken to produce the
human capital as stated in the National Educational Philosophy (NEP).
5. Compare and contrast KBSR and KSSR. To what extend does KSSR realize the
purpose of NEP?
