 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES OF THE VISIT
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3: Arrival from Gran Canaria at 17:30 Transfer to families.

THURSDAY, MARCH 4. 8.00 pm Welcome to IES Puerto del Rosario. Meet students and
teachers. Greet from the Headmaster. Visit the School. Breakfast. School radio at break time.
Press conference. Communication sessions and projects’ exchange.
Afternoon: Activities Multi Kulti Club and Polish classes. COMENIUS Mural on the court-
yard of the School.

FRIDAY, MARCH 5: Classes: 1st to 3rd hour. Institutional visit (Island Council and Town
Hall). Walking tour of Puerto del Rosario. Visit the Red Cross.
Afternoon: Centro de Arte Juan Ismael and talk: Fuerteventura, Biosphere Reserve.

SATURDAY, MARCH 6: Full day excursion to the south: Departure at 10.00 from the
School. Camel ride. Visit the Natural Park of Jandia and El Saladar. Swim in Morro Jable.
Afternoon in Gran Tarajal.

SUNDAY, MARCH 7: FAMILY DAY.

MONDAY, MARCH 8: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY. Morning: varied teaching

activities: cooking workshop, History, English, P.E. Exchange and comparison of educational
systems by teaching staff. Visit IES Majada Marcial.
Afternoon: Visit the CITE at 17:00 pm and the rest of the afternoon off.

TUESDAY, MARCH 9: Excursion to the north. Trek to Tindaya Mountain. Visit La Oliva:
The House of the Colonels.
Afternoon: Felipito’s House: Barbecue, ball games and other local sports. Parranda canaria.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10: Trip to the North: A visit to La Cueva del Llano. Trek to
Calderon Hondo. Snack and visit the Lighthouse Museum. Swim and games on the beaches of
El Cotillo.

THURSDAY, MARCH 11: Trip to South Central: Visit the historic Town of Betancuria and
the Archaeological Museum. Hermitage of the island Lady La Virgen de la Peña. Snack in
Pájara. Walk into the Mother of Waters and the Caves of Ajuy.

FRIDAY, MARCH 12: Tour the Center: Visit the Salt Museum and the prehistorical Site of
Atalayita.
Early Afternoon: Water sports and Paella in Island Nautical School, Puerto del Rosario.
Evening: Dinner-farewell party.

SATURIDAY, MARCH 13: Farewell at Fuerteventura’s airport at 11.00.

BREAK 11.00: We leave for the Island Council.

11.30-12.00 Meeting with the island’s authorities.

12.30-13.00 Meeting with the municipality’s authorities.

13.00-14.00 A walking tour around Puerto del Rosario.

4.00-15.00 We visit the Red Cross premises.

11.15-12.10 (4 B-D), to P.E. class with teacher Roberto (4 C) and to History class with
teacher Rita (1º Bachillerato).

Canary students go to class. 

5th period  Polish students visit IES Majada Marcial, a Vocational Training School. 
12.10-13.05 Polish Teachers attend a meeting of the Pedagogic Coordinating Commis-
sion (CCP) to present and compare Polish-Spanish Educational Systems.

Canary students go to class. 

6th period 
Polish students visit IES Majada Marcial, a Vocational Training School,
13.05-14.00
and Polish teachers too.

AFTERNOON  Visiting the CITE, Information Center for Immigrant Workers. Rest of
17.00-18.00 the afternoon is free.

TUESDAY, MARCH 9: Excursion to the north for Spanish and Polish students: Trek to
Tindaya Mountain. Visit La Oliva: The House of the Colonels.
Accompanying teachers: Pedro, Gabriel, Coro and Natalia.
Afternoon: Felipito’s House: Barbecue, ball games and other local sports. Parranda canaria.

  8.30: Departure from school. 

MORNING Trek to Tindaya’s Mountain and visit La Oliva: The House of Colo-
nels.

   
13.30- 16.30 Felipito’s House: Barbecue, ball games and other local sports. Par-
randa canaria. 

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10: Trip to the north for Spanish and Polish students: A visit to
La Cueva del Llano. Trek to Calderón Hondo. Snack and visit the Lighthouse’s Museum.
Swimming and games on the beaches of Cotillo.
Accompanying teachers: Natalia, Fernando, Nancy y Montse.

1st period  Polish group meets at Blue classroom 

8.00-8.55 Canary students go to class.

9.30: Departure from school. 

 
10.00: Visiting la Cueva del Llano 
MORNING
12.00: Trek to Calderón Hondo.

Snack in Cotillo Lighthouse. 

  Visiting Cotillo Lighthouse’s Museum. 
14.00- 17.00 Swim and games on the beaches of Cotillo. 
We arrive at school at 18.00.

Evening: Dinner-farewell party for Polish and Spanish pupils, teachers and families.
