Problem Description
The 2-prong power cable is a non-jacketed power cable. The
previously shipped power cables for the 800 & 1900 series products
are not compliant and can be replaced with a METI compliant power
cable.
Note: THERE ARE NO SAFETY ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH ALL PART
NUMBERS OF THE CABLES LISTED IN THE How to Identify Hardware
Levels SECTION.
METI is the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for Japan.

Background

Cisco has been informed that the previously shipped power cable is
not METI compliant.
Customers may order a compliant replacement cable from Cisco.
THIS IS NOT MANDATORY.

Problem Symptoms
The cables previously shipped with the 800 & 1900 series products
are single insulated rather than double insulated (jacketed). These
single-insulated cables cause no issues with the associated routers
and are fully functional.

Workaround/Solution
Customers may order a compliant replacement cable from Cisco.
THIS IS NOT MANDATORY. If customers choose to order the
compliant cable, the non-compliant cable should be scrapped.

How To Identify Hardware Levels

The original single-insulated power cables have 2 part numbers (743100-01 & 37-0672-01).
The double insulated (jacketed) power cable is part number 370672-02.
