OPERATION AND EVENT MANAGEMENT

1.0

INTRODUCTION

Assalamu'alaikumwarahmatullahiwabarakatuh Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude


toward Allah s.w.t because has simplified all the task and job that has been given to me, secondly
I would like to thank both my parent and not to be forgotten my friend that keep supporting me
to make this HT517- Event Operation and Management a success. HT517- Event Operation and
Management were a compulsory subject that must be taken by Student in Diploma in Tourism
Management. We has been task to run an event,DUP5 Grand Family Day that are last for 3
days and 2 night at Umang-umang chalet that are located at Kuala Sungai Baru, Melaka.
We were evaluate based on how we create the input for the event and on how we deliver
it on the event day. The event consist of various type of activity from outdoor until indoor
activity. On the first day our day was filled with joy resulting from the Bowling Tournament that
were being held at the Melaka Parade. On the second day our skilled were tested when we are
task to decorate a normal hall into something that suit the title, Grand.
Lastly, by conducting this Event, we could apply all the theory that has been learn in class
and also at the same time teach us the value of communication and teamwork. The teamwork that
we showed on the Event day clearly has led us into creating a success Event.

EVALUATION OBJECTIVE

2.1

To learn basic of Event Operation and Management.


Learn on how to deliver Effective Communication.
Lean on how to do an effective problem solving.
To enhance every group member planning skills.
To give the chance to student to tell their opinion.
To evaluate the satisfaction level of the student who stay during the event.
To fulfilled the requirement of HT517-Event Operation and Management.

JOB SPECIFICATION OBJECTIVE

To teach the important of Teamwork.


To evaluate each member expertise and deliver the best task to them.
To make the task easier and run smoother.

Agree and 4 respondent who are Neutral with the Odor of the room.

are Agree and 1 respondent who are Neutral with the decent service from the organizer.

Amenities that provided are decent.

place.

RECOMMENDATION

There are several proposals for improvement in terms of accommodation, namely, the resort
should ensure air conditioning in each room works well. In addition, the water supply should
also be in check at all times and ensure clean room conditions for guests convenience. The
environmental conditions on the beach must also should not be taken lightly by the resort.

5.0

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the dup 5 Grand Familia Day event this gave new knowledge to each student to
manage and conduct something. By conducting this event, each students are more responsible in
carrying out the task that has been given by each head of the bureau. The Teamwork and
cooperation between groups can be seen as each individual plays a role to each others to ensure
the success of this event. Without team spirit this event is not something easy to manage or
conduct because it requires strength in terms of mental and physical. The decoration bureau are
the playmaker to make this event the exclusive and luxurious. Food Division also cares about the
needs of the individual. Lastly, the success of this event come from the teamwork and
cooperation of each Bureau and all the committee of Dup 5 that always support each other.
