Thermax bags job worth Rs 353 crore from Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers ET,
February 22 2016
Thermax has bagged a job worth Rs 353 crore from Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers to execute an energy
efficiency improvement project. Thermax will commission a 50 MW gas based co-generation plant at RCFs facility
at Thal in Maharashtra for captive power. It will also install waste heat recovery boilers downstream of the turbines to
provide required steam for process. The order entails supply of two 25 MW each gas turbines and waste heat recovery
boilers, besides civil works, balance of electrical, mechanical and instrumentation works. The project is to be
completed in 22 months.

Posco E&C bags $65 mn order to build thermal power plant in Panama Pulsenews,
February 18 2016
South Koreas Posco Engineering & Construction Co. has signed a $65 million deal with U.S. based power supplier
AES to build a 380 MW thermal power plant and 180,000 gas terminal in Colon, Panama. The deal will be
executed through EPC mode.

Inox Wind bags 100 MW repeat order from Tata Power Renewable Energy Indiainfoline,

Inox Wind Limited has bagged a repeat order for a 100 MW wind power project at Rojmal, in Gujarat from Tata
Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL). The order is TPRELs fourth project with Inox Wind taking the
cumulative orders placed with Inox Wind across various sites to more than 300 MW. As part of the turnkey order,
Inox Wind will provide TPREL with end to end solutions from development and construction to commissioning and
providing long term operations and maintenance services.

Punj Lloyd wins pipeline contracts worth Rs. 2,070 crores (US$ 304 million) in Oman Indiablooms, February
16 2016
Punj Lloyd has won oil & & gas EPC orders worth Rs 2,070 crore from Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum
Industries Company (Orpic) and Oman Gas Company (OGC) which are owned by the Government Oman and Oman
Oil Company SAOC. The scope of work for the contracts includes the construction of a 14 dia, 300 km natural gas
liquid (NGL) pipeline and a 32 dia, 301 km gas pipeline. The 14 dia pipeline, part of Orpics US$ 6.4bn Liwa
Plastic Industries Complex (LPIC), will travel from the New Fahud NGL Plant to the Steam Cracker Unit at Sohar in
Oman. The scope of work also includes construction of block valve and pigging stations. Both the pipelines need to
be completed within 38 and 35 months respectively.

SPML Infra bags new orders worth Rs 812.49 crore Livemint, February 15 2016
SPML Infra has received order from the Government of Telangana worth of Rs 549.87 crore for providing drinking
water facility to the habitations in ManthaniBhupalapallysegment (under Karimnagar and Warrangal district)
including operation and maintenance for 10 years. The company will be executing this project in joint venture with
Megha Engineering and Infrastructure. The scope of work includes 32 MLD water treatment plant, 11370 KL ground
level water reservoir, 1400 KL overhead service reservoir, 1341 kilometers water supply pipeline of DI, MS, HDPE
pipesof65-900 mm diameters.
It has also received an order from the Government of Rajasthan, from PHED, Bharatpur, for providing drinking water
supply to 97 villages of Mallah, Deeg, Kumher, Kaman, Pahari, Nagar under Chambal Dholpur Bharatpur Project.
The scope of work include installation of 2 pumping stations, construction of 14 overhead service reservoirs, 4 clear
water reservoirs with combined capacity of 21080 KL, 700kilometers of water pipeline of DI, MS, GRP and HDPE
pipes of 63-1000 mm diameters with 10 years of operation and maintenance. The order value is around Rs. 262.62
crore.

Skipper bags Rs 500-crore orders in engineering and infra space ET, February 12 2016

Skipper Limited has secured new orders worth approximately Rs 500 crore for domestic transmission tower supply
and EPC line construction from Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corp Ltd, Teesta Valley Power Transmission Ltd
(a PGCIL JV company). It has also informed that it has commenced trial production of its 6000 MTPA plumbing and
agri pipes manufacturing unit in Sikandrabad.

Daewoo E&C Wins US$480 Million Deal to Build Bridge in India Business Korea, February 12 2016
Daewoo Engineering & Construction (Daewoo E&C) has won a project worth US$480 million (577.2 billion won) to
build a bridge across the Ganges River in India. Under the contract, Daewoo E&C will jointly build the 22.8kilometer six-lane bridge and connection roads with Larsen&Toubro (L&T). It will be executed in 48 months.

BHEL bags order worth Rs.3,500 crore from NTPC India info line, February 11 2016
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has won an order from NTPC for supply of two 800 MW Steam Generators
(Boilers) for setting up Telangana Super Thermal Power Project at NTPCs existing Ramagundam Power Station in
Karimnagar district of Telangana. BHELs scope of work involves design, engineering, manufacture, supply,
construction, erection, testing & commissioning and civil works for the Steam Generator island package. Approximate
order value is Rs.35,000 million.

Doosan Heavy Industries wins $294 mn order to build a thermal power plant boiler in India Pulse news,
February 11 2016
Doosan Power Systems India Private Ltd, Part of Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., South Korea, has
won a 350 billion EPC contract from the National Thermal Power Corporation to build three 660MW boilers at its
Barh Super Thermal Power Station located in Bihar. The construction of the thermal power plant boiler is expected to
be complete in October 2018.

India secures 1.6B Bangladesh power project order Vc circle, February 09 2016
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has secured $1.6 billion order to set up a 1320 MW coal based power project at
Rampal in Khulna, Bangladesh. The project is being set up by Indias state-owned NTPC Ltd and Bangladesh Power
Development Board (BPDB) in an equal joint venture (JV). The JV named Bangladesh India Friendship Power Co.
Ltd
and
also
referred
to
as
the
Maitree
(friendship)
project.
Earlier, BHEL has approached the PMO to secure an attractive financial package by the government of India to bid
competitively. It has received a package from EXIM bank, under an interest equalization scheme. The package offers
a dollar-denominated loan for 20-year tenure at a concessional rate of interest linked to London interbank offered rate.

BHEL bags Rs 2,759-cr order for 800 MW unit in Tamil Nadu BS, Feb 01 2016
BHEL has informed that it has bagged an order from the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation for
setting up an 800 MW Supercritical TPS Stage III power unit at North Chennai in dist.Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu.
BHELs scope of work in the current contract involves design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection,
commissioning & civil works for the Main Plant Package. The Rs 2,759 crore order is expected be commissioned by
August 2019.

ACME wins 150 MW solar project in Haryana ET, January 29 2016


ACME Solar has secured a 150 MW solar power project in Haryana at a tariff rate of Rs 5 per unit. The land will be
purchased on its own for the project. It plans to commission the project in 2017.The company will sell the power to
Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd under the renewable purchase obligations (RPO) programme from next year.

Barakah wins Sarawak gas pipeline contract Thestar, January 29 2016


Barakah Offshore Petroleum Bhd has received a contract to install two gas pipelines under the Petronas Carigalioperated Baram Delta Gas Gathering Project 2 (Bardegg 2) and Baronia enhanced oil recovery project offshore Miri,

Sarawak. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the oil and gas service provider said its wholly-owned subsidiary company,
PBJV Group Sdn Bhd, had received the 2016 work scope for the Transportation and Installation Of Offshore
Facilities
for
Year
2014-2016.
It said the two projects under the work scope were the 43km Bardegg and Baronia 24-inch pipeline from the TTJT-A
wellhead platform to the Baronia B central processing platform (BNCPP-B) (tentative installation date is March 2016)
and the 125km Bardegg and Baronia 24-inch pipeline from DNCPP-B to the E11RC platform (tentative installation
date is May 2016).Barakah did not provide the estimated value of the contract, saying that the total value of the work
scope will depend the duration of the work and costs related to project management team, and engineering, materials,
services, engineering and other related services.

Matrix awarded contract to build LNG tank for Eagle LNG plant Lng industry, January 28 2016
Matrix Service Inc., which is a subsidiary of Matrix Service Co., has won a contract for the engineering, procurement,
fabrication and construction of a cryogenic LNG tank for the second Eagle Plant in Jacksonville, Florida, US. The
tank will have a capacity of 1 million gal.

Clough awarded second hook-up contract for Ichthys LNG project Lng industry, January 28 2016
Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd (DSME) has awarded Clough a contract for the hook-up
services on the Ichthys LNG projects Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility. This is the
second hook-up contract that Clough has been awarded for the Ichthys LNG project, following the recent
announcement that Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) had contracted the company to provide hook-up services on the
central
processing
facility
(CPF).
The Ichthys FPSO is a 336 m long, permanently moored and weather-vaning vessel. It is designed to hold more than 1
million bbl of condensate. The scope of work includes the preparation and execution of offshore hook-up and
assistance to commissioning. Work will commence in 1Q16, with the mobilisation of engineering and technical teams
to the DSME fabrication yard located in Geoje, South Korea before moving offshore in the Browse Basin, 200 km off
the northern coastline of Western Australia.

Punj Lloyd climbs 8% on Rs. 2,780 crore contract India infoline, Jan 28 2016
Punj Lloyd has announced that it has won 459 km of the 48 dia TANAP Gas Pipeline in Turkey worth Rs.2,780 crore
(USD 409 million) in Joint Venture with Limak (50-50 share). Awarded to the JV by TANAP Dogalgaz iletim A., Punj
Lloyds value of the project amounts to Rs1,390 crore (USD 204 million). TANAP, The Trans Anatolian Natural Gas
Pipeline Project, will be built to transport natural gas emanating from the South Caucasus Pipeline Company (SCPC)
pipeline in Georgia and terminating into the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in Greece
The scope also includes 10 Block Valve Stations, Pigging facility (two within Compressor stations, two at pigging
stations) and Tie-ins with Metering Stations. The pipeline section begins from Compressor Station 5A at Eskisehir in
Turkey and travel through the vicinity of major cities like Eskisehir, Bursa, Balikesir, Canakkale and Edirne, passing
through a terrain ranging from lowland to high rocky mountain ranges with steep slopes/side slopes, deep forest,
agricultural fields, numerous river and road/track crossings, environmental sensitive and archaeological areas. The
elevations are up to 1394 m in this section.

Japans JGC wins $355m gas plant project in Bahrain Asia. vnikkei, January 28 2016
JGC, a Japanese engineering firm, has won a $355 million contract to design and build a midsize gas plant for
Bahrain National Gas. The facility will recover for export liquefied petroleum gas and naphtha from associated gases
released when extracting crude oil. The plant, slated for completion by September 2018, will be about 20km south of
the capital city of Manama and have a daily processing capacity of 350 million cu. feet.

Thyssenkrupp wins EPC contract to build fertiliser plant in Indiana, US Chemicals-technology, January 27
2016
Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions (USA) has secured a contract from Midwest Fertilizer Company to provide EPC
and related services to build a $2bn nitrogen plant in Indiana, US. Construction on the plant is expected to start after
finance closure and to be complete by 2020. After completion, the plant will produce Ammonia, Urea, Urea

Ammonium
Nitrate
(UAN),
and
Diesel
Exhaust
Fluid.
The project will be part funded by Midwest Fertilizer through $1.259bn of tax-exempt debt the company has secured,
which was facilitated by Posey County, Indiana under the Heartland Disaster Tax Relief Act of 2008. Remaining
amount will be raised through equity, tax increment-financing bonds, and some term debt. Fatima Fertilizer Company,
a unit of Fatima Group is the principal sponsor and developer of the project.

Solarpack wins contract to develop 100 MW in India Pv-magazine, January 25 2016


Spanish PV group Solarpack along with the U.S based Think Energy Partners, is planning to construct six solar PV
plants with a combined capacity of 100 MW in the districts of Mahbubnagar, Medak and Nizamabad in Telangana.
The state electricity distribution company, TSSPDCL, will acquire all the generated electricity through a 25-year
power purchase agreement. Construction is slated to begin in the first half of the year, with the plants scheduled to be
operational by January 2017.

ONGC gets nod for Rs. 53,000 cr KG basin infra project HBL, January 24 2016
ONGC has got environmental clearance for drilling 45 development wells and other related infrastructure at Block
KG-DWN-98/2 Krishna-Godavari basin in Andhra Pradesh. The proposed project, which would cost Rs. 53,058 crore,
will be implemented in the northern discovery area of NELP-I offshore block KG-DW N-98/2 that covers an area of
7,294.6
sq
km
and
is
located
within
25-80
km
from
nearest
coast.
The block is divided into Northern Discovery Area (NDA) having deep waters with depth of upto 1,800 meters and
the other one is Southern Discovery Area (SDA) which has ultra-deep waters having depth of upto 3,100 meters.
NDA has two clusters Cluster 1 predominately has gas and Cluster 2 mixture of oil and gas.
As per the proposal, the gas will be evacuated from Cluster 1 through dual subsea pipelines connecting to the fixed
platform. From this platform, de-hydrated gas will be transferred to already existing onland terminal at Odalarevu,
East Godavari district, by subsea pipeline. This pipeline will be connected directly to GAIL custody transfer point.
From Cluster 2, the hydrocarbon fluids will be taken to an FPSO facility through dual subseas pipeline. The stablised
crude oil will be transported through sea tankers and compressed and dehydrated gas will be evacuated on to fixed
platform from FPSO to Odalarevu Onshore Terminal through dual subsea pipeline reaching the onland terminal to
GAIL for custody transfer.

L&T gains after consortium wins order worth Rs 1,213 crore BS, January 22 2016
L&T along with Sojitz Corp., Japan has won a major order worth Rs 1,213 crore from the Dedicated Freight Corridor
Corporation of India Ltd. The design and build order involves electrification works for a 422km section of the western
dedicated freight corridor from Vadodara in Gujarat to JNPT (near Mumbai) in Maharashtra. The project is scheduled
to be completed in 42 months.

IL&FS Eng wins Rs 52.40 cr contract from GAIL, Money control, January 21 2016
IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company has received a contract from Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) for
laying and construction of a pipeline along the associated works for pipeline replacement project in Gujarat region.
The total length of the 12 inch pipeline is 85 km and the total value is Rs 52.4 crore. The contract is to be completed
within 16 months.

Gamesa wins orders for 130 MW of turbines in India renewables.seenews, January 21 2016

Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa SA has announced that it has received three orders totaling 130 MW in the
Indian market. Under the contracts, the company will supply a total of 65 units of its G97-2.0 MW turbine. Gamesa
will build two wind farms, one of 50 MW and one of 30 MW on EPC basis, and will also supply 50 MW of turbines
to
a
third
wind
farm.
The 50-MW EPC contract, coming from an unnamed renewable energy player, is for a wind farm in the state of
Gujarat that is scheduled for commissioning in September. The other EPC order is from a power supplier and is for a
wind farm in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This project is expected to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2016.

Charisma Energy, Sunseap win 140MWp India solar power project Business times, January 20 2016
A JV firm of Charisma Energy has been given a contract to develop solar power plants in India and to supply power to
National Thermal Power Corporation at a fixed rate of 4.35 rupees (9.2 Singapore cents) per KWh for 25 years.
Rising Sun Energy, which Charisma owns together with Singapore solar firm Sunseap International and a local Indian
partner, will be building a solar farm with a capacity of 140 megawatts at peak conditions (MWp). The project is part
of a 420-MWp solar farm development at Bhadla Solar Park in Rajasthan. To be funded through internal resources
and debt financing, it is expected to start commercial operations in the second quarter of next year.

Indias Bhel gets Rampal contract thedailystar.net, January 18 2016


The Bangladesh-India Friendship Company has chosen BHEL to construct the 1,320MW coal power plant in Rampal
close to the Sundarbans. The signing of the contract is expected to take place within a few days and construction of
the power plant would start immediately. BHEL would have to arrange the finance from the Indian Exim Bank on
behalf of the Friendship Company. Of this finance, $1.39 billion will be in foreign currency and another $101 million
in local currency. The exact financing of the project can be disclosed after completing the financial closure. The
Friendship Company will fund 30 percent of the project cost and the rest comes in the form of loans. Friendship
Company plans to complete the task by the end of 2019.

ABS wins Golar LNG contract Lng industry, January 13 2016.


ABS Group has said that its subsidiary, Genesis Technology Solutions Inc., has been awarded a contract by Golar
LNG to develop an intelligent maintenance strategy for the companys new fleet of floating LNG (FLNG) vessels
utilizing the GoFLNG floating liquefaction technology. ABS Group will assist Golar LNG with implementing the
Maximo computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to support its asset management program. ABS
will provide a model for asset data, criticality rankings, spare parts analysis, a risk-based inspection strategy, failure
mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and a maintenance program for the first GoFLNG facility under construction, the
Hilli, which will operate off the coast of Cameroon, as well as for future vessels.

Suzlon Group forays into solar power with 210 MW projects in Telangana ET, January 13 2016
Suzlon has announced that it has won 210 MW solar power projects from Southern Power Distribution Company of
Telangana Limited (TSSPDCL) through a competitive bidding process. These solar projects will be built under six
different special purpose vehicles (SPVs) across the state and will be commissioned in FY 2017.

Honeywell to build gas processing plant for PV Gas in Vietnam refining and petrochemicals, January 13 2016
Vietnams primary gas provider PV Gas has selected Honeywell to supplygas processing plant and advanced
automation systems to produce liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Under the contract, Honeywell will supply a 250
million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) modular gas processing plant which will separate LPG from natural gas
at
Ca
Mau
facility
near
the
southern
tip
of
Vietnam.
Scope of work also includes automation technologies including Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS), LEAP,
Smartline field transmitters, Safety Manager and SmartRadar FlexLine. The factory-built modular gas plant, which is
planned to be commissioned at the site in 2017.The consortium of Posco Engineering and PetroVietnam Technical
Services is the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the $498m project.

Suzlon receives 197.40 MW repeat order from IPP company ET, January 11 2016
Suzlon has said that it has received a 197.40 MW repeat order from a leading renewable energy Independent Power
Producers (IPP) company. The order is for the installation of 47 wind turbines of S97-120 m hybrid tower and 47
wind turbines of S111-90 m tubular tower with rated capacity of 2.1 MW each and will be executed in the Anantpur
district in Andhra Pradesh by February 2017. Suzlon will also offer operation and maintenance services for 12 years
through an integrated service package.

Sterlite Grid bags LoI to set up power project in Odisha Greentechlead, January 10 2016

Sterlite Grid has received LoI to set up power evacuation infrastructure in Odisha for local power projects. It is the
lowest bidder for the power transmission project in Odisha with a levelized annual tariff of Rs 139.79 crore.
As per the deal, Sterlite Grid will build, own, operate and maintain approx 300 km of 765 kV Double Circuit system
strengthening line from Jharsugda to Raipur and approx 50 km of 400 kV Double Circuit line between OPGC Power
Project and Jharsugda with approximate capital expenditure of Rs 1,250 crore.

L&T consortium bags Rs 2,450 crore ONGC order ET, Jan 07,16
Larsen & Toubros hydrocarbon arm, in consortium with US-based engineering company McDermott, has bagged an
offshore contract from ONGC worth Rs 2,450 crores for the development of the latters Vashishta and S1 deepwater
fields situated off the east coast of India. L&Ts arm L&T Hydrocarbon will execute part of the order worth Rs 640
crore.
The EPC order entails supply and installation of subsea structures at seabed in water depths ranging from 200 metres
to 700 metres and subsea pipelines interconnecting subsea wells to ONGCs onshore facilities at Odalarevu in Andhra
Pradesh. The project is part of ONGCs strategy to monetize its deepwater oil and gas fields on the East Coast. Upon
final commissioning, the facilities will add about 4.55 mmscmd of hydrocarbon gas per day to Indias domestic gas
production.

Westinghouse Electric Awards Two Nuclear Power Plant Subcontracts to Fluor Corp. (FLR)

Fluor Corporation has announced that it was awarded two subcontracts by Westinghouse Electric Company to manage
the construction workforce at two Westinghouse AP1000 nuclear power plant projects in Georgia and in South
Carolina the first majority-owned and operated by Southern Company and the second owned and operated by
SCANA/Santee
Cooper.
As a subcontractor to Westinghouse, Fluor will manage the majority of construction labor at Southern Companys
Plant Vogtle Units 3 & 4 near Waynesboro, Georgia, and at two additional nuclear electric generating units for
SCANA/Santee Cooper at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Station in Fairfield County, South Carolina.

Doosan Heavy bags 670 bln won power plant order Yonhapnews, January 04 2016
Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., South Koreas top power equipment maker has said that it has clinched
a 670 billion (US$566 million) order to build a power plant in Vietnam. Under a deal with Hanoi-based Vietnam
Electricity (EVN), Doosan Heavy will construct the 600-MW power plant in Binh Thuan by August 2019. Doosan
Heavy will take charge of the entire process, including the engineering, procurement and construction of the facility.

GE wins $1 billion Saudi power plant contract The national, January 03 2016
GE has been awarded a contract worth almost US$1bn (Dh3.7bn) to design and build gas turbines for a new power
plant at Waad Al Shamal in northern Saudi Arabia. The combined cycle power plant is being built for Saudi
Electricity Company and will support the development of the $7.5bn phosphate mining complex under construction
for a joint venture between Saudi Arabian Mining Company, Maaden, The Mosaic Company and Saudi Basic
Industries.
GE said its 48-month contract involves the delivery of the power plant, including four heavy duty gas turbines and
one steam turbine. It will produce 1,390 megawatts, which is enough to power more than 500,000 Saudi homes.
