We are working with TechSmith to develop meeting software to support
groups of 5-12 people. This project is a part of the courses: Interface and
Interaction Design. Our project cycle includes: project focus, contextual
inquiry, competetive research, personas & scenarios, Lo-Fi prototyping,
Hi-Fi prototyping, final presentation.

Graphic Design supports professional de-
velopment of a user experience designer via
exploring the art and science of visual com-
munication. It emphasizes aesthetic sensibili-
ties and design skills.
Most of my graphic design projects need me
to master visual language vocabularies, prac-
tice principles of effective visual communi-
cations, solve create problems, while con-
noting theses to technological, cultural, and
social spheres. And through adopting design
software like photoshop, illustrator, indesign,
and bridge, I could achieve an ideal design
of layout, typography, illustration, color, and
web design.

Interface & Interaction Design covers such
topics as accessibility, design ethics, psy-
chological principles, interaction principles,
requirements analysis, project management,
I/O devices, standards and style guides, and
visual principles.
My projects need me to adopt methods of
contextual inquiry, existing software re-
search, Lo-fi prototype, and Hi-fi prototype
to help our client come up with a promis-
ing product that could be a competitive one
among their current software family.

System Evaluation is to evaluate the func-
tionality and usability of an interactive system
using a variety of methods, such as comparative
analysis, heuristic evaluation, Persona & Sce-
nario and usability test.
Many interactive systems fail because they are
built with little knowledge of what the users
really need and what they can do. They can’t
find the information they are looking for on the
screen; a small slip creates a huge loss of data;
it is too hard to find the features they are look-
ing for; features they want are not offered. Most
of my tasks are to understand users’ real needs
and their capabilities, and then designing to
delight them.
