Sasa, I am MWANGANGI JOHN KILONZO a.k.a KASINGA -1,from

MASAKU RUGBY CLUB - Kilunda Rugby Club & Masaku 7s
International Tournament in Machakos.I am contesting for Director
Kenya Rugby Union, at the March 16 2016 A.G.M. I request for your
support and votes. I have helped to develop Masaku Rugby, from the
start, being honoured to be part of the founding Management Team
for the Rugby Club and Tournament, 2012 to date.

My rugby career started as a student in Upper-Hill School,Nairobi in the 1980s during my O Levels. I
then proceeded to Mumbuni High School in Machackos County for my A Levels.After High School, I
was accepted at University of Nairobi to study B.Com. (Marketing) from 1989 to 1992, where I joined
Mean Machine and my rugby continued again.After college I played for Kenya Harlequins for about 3
seasons before I retired from competetive rugby.

I also have a GEMBA(Global executive MBA) USIU-A in conjunction with COLUMBIA BUSINESS
SCHOOL(N.Y)
I was invited by the founding Management team of Masaku RFC & Masaku 7s Tournament, to join
them in 2012 when Quicks & Ayimba rocked up in Machakos with a plan to help develop rugby in
Machakos.Since then, I have worked consistently in helping to attract and manage Sponsorship, for
the team and tournament ,for 4 years.Through our management team effort, Masaku RFC has
honoured all its fixtures in the Nationwide league since we entered the competition.Plus we have
worked hard to improve player welfare, not being where we want it, but certainly better than 2012
when the team started.
I want to serve Kenya Rugby at the Union level, to help streamline Development and alignment of
the Nationwide league, inspired and motivated by my experience and skills from Machakos Rugby. I
am a firm believer in grass-roots rugby, and willing to work with all to Develop it countrywide, this
will help to improve the depth of skilled players in Kenya.
I have skills, experience and expertise in Sales ,Brand Developemnt & Sponsorship Management.
Currently I am the General Manager ,Sales & Marketing at Associated Motors, largest dealer of
General Motors East Africa. If eleceted, I will use my skills & experience ,to help Kenya Rugby in
improving the sponsorship proposals for the current brands (7s,XVs,Safari 7s,Ladies Rugby, AgeGrade rugby,Kenya Cup & Nationwide)
I am a family man with a strong will to serve Kenya Rugby.Kindly support my candidature and VOTE
