General Scope of Work


1. Blind Equipment
2. If applicable conduct soda ash flashing before opening drums manways and after
cooling down.
3. Open shell man ways.
4. Conduct initial internal inspection.
5. Conduct external equipment inspection.
6. Open all tray manways.
7. Remove drum internals (distributors, demisters) as per inspection recommendations.
8. Erect internal scaffolding as recommended by inspection.
9. Conduct internal cleaning as per inspection recommendations.
10. Conduct detail internal inspection.
11. Clean all removed internals as recommended by inspection and area engineer.
12. Based on inspection recommendations, grit blast all marked areas.
13. Conduct WFMPT, hardness test, DPT as applicable.
14. Carry on any repair recommended by inspection.
15. Install back all removed and repaired internals (distributors, demisters).
16. Replace all missing or damaged trays' valves as per Inspection recommendation
17. Conduct inspection on all internals after installing back.
18. Remove internal Scaffolding.

19. Conduct internal final cleaning.
20. Flash all nozzles and make sure there is no any dirt of plugging.
21. Conduct internal inspection.
22. Box up all tray manways.
23. Conduct final internal inspection.

25. De blind equipment
26. If applicable apply required bolts tensioning and torque.

3. Conduct initial inspection on bottom section.
4. Conduct external inspection
5. Conduct internal inspection using Crane & basket.
6. Repair damaged refractory as recommended by Inspection.
7. Carryout final cleaning, clean bottom floor, remove all maintenance debris, prior to
box-up Stack door.
8. Repair external coating as recommended by Inspection.
9. De blind equipments

2. Open all manways on Flare Stack assembly (Molecular Seal & Water Seal Drums, etc.)
3. Install air-movers for purging as necessary.
4. Conduct Initial Inspection.
5. Clean and inspect internals of Molecular Seal & water Seal drums.
6. Dismantle, remove Flare Tip & put it on the ground for Inspection.
7. Erect scaffolding to the top of the tip

9. Carryout recommended repairs by EIU.

12. Box-up all manways on Flare Stack assembly (Molecular Seal & Water Seal Drums,
etc.) with permanent gaskets.
13. De-blind nozzles and box-up with permanent gaskets.

3. Open heater stack and duct manways.
4. Conduct initial internal inspection.
5. Conduct external inspection.
6. Remove burner assemblies and associated piping as recommended by inspection.
7. Cover all burners opening. (By Olayyan)
8. Erect full internal scaffolding to reach all walls and tubes for UT, hardiness and visual
inspection.
9. Erect scaffolding for convection section side covers opening and make it suitable for
UT and VT tests.
10. Open all convection section side covers.
11. Open all convection section inspection windows.
12. Brush cleans the tubes / U-bends as marked by inspection for UT survey and visual
inspection.
13. Conduct UT tests on all tubes including convection and radiant sections.
14. Conduct replica test if recommended by CSD.
15. Conduct RT profile shot for selected elbows.
16. Repair damaged refractory as per civil inspector recommendations.
17. Test & clean stack dampers and repair as recommended by inspection.
18. Remove all internal scaffolding.
19. Install burner assemblies and associated piping. (By Olayyan)
20. Rearrange floor bricks, clean, and replace damaged bricks.
21. Conduct final inspection.
22. Close all Radiant & Convection section doors, duct and Stack man ways.

General Scope of Work


1. Blind the equipments.
2. Erect external scaffolding as required.
3. If chemical cleaning is required, install adopters for the chemical cleaning.
(Coordinate with RISAL contractor who will perform the chemical cleaning and
vacuum cleaning for backinox)
4. Remove channel box and shell covers.
5. Remove floating head cover.
6. Conduct initial inspection on assembly before tube bundle removal.
7. Remove channel box.
8. Pull out exchanger tube bundle and transport to cleaning yard at Area-25.
9. Perform visual inspection on both shell and tube bundle.
10. Hydro Jet all tubes and remove all scales. Cleaning shall be accepted by both
inspection and area engineer.
11. Hydro jet shell internal surface.
12. Air blows all tubes after hydro-jetting.
13. Hydro jet bundle externally and remove any deposit in between the tubes.
14. Carry out MFL test on 10% tubes.
15. Grit blast vertical and circumferential shell weld seams (6 wide) as marked by
Inspection for WFMPT examination
16. Clean heat exchanger components, covers, and channel box.
17. If applicable grit blast channel box and covers for re-coating as recommended by
inspection.
18. Apply required coating as per Saudi Aramco procedure and follow inspection
recommendations.
19. Carry on any repair required as per inspection recommendations.
20. If applicable conduct PWHT.

21. Reinstall back the tube bundles.
22. Using test ring conduct hydro test for shell side as per approved procedure.
23. Plug any leaking tube using in kind tube plugs.
24. Re-install back channel box, channel box cover and floating head cover.
25. Conduct tube side hydro test as per approved procedure.
26. Re-install back shell cover.
27. Conduct final test as per approved procedure.
28. Carry on any repair required.
29. Remove scaffoldings

General Scope of Work for (Drums)


1. Blind equipment.
2. If applicable conduct soda ash flashing before opening drums manways and after cooling down.
3. Open shell man ways.
4. Conduct initial internal inspection.
5. Conduct external equipment inspection.
6. Remove drums internals (distributors, demisters) as per inspection recommendations.
7. Erect internal scaffolding as recommended by inspection.
8. Conduct internal cleaning as per inspection recommendations.
9. Conduct detail internal inspection.
10. Clean all removed internals as recommended by inspection and area engineer.
11. Based on inspection recommendations, grit blast all marked areas.
12. Conduct WFMPT, hardness test, DPT as applicable.
13. Carry on any repair recommended by inspection.
14. Install back all removed and repaired internals (distributors, demisters).
15. Conduct inspection on all internals after installing back.
16. Remove internal Scaffolding.
17. Conduct internal final cleaning.
18. Flush all nozzles and make sure there is no any dirt of plugging.
19. Conduct final internal inspection.
20. Box up all drums manways.
21. If applicable apply required bolts tensioning and torque.
22. De blind.

2. Saudi Aramco crane to assist in installing & lowering the stop gate.
3. Diver to put and arrange sand bags at bottom of intake stop gate. (to minimize seepage
of seawater into the basin)
4. Pumping out of seawater from the basin by Ops.
5. Lock-out and isolate power after pumping out intake basin.
6. Pumping out of remaining water (Aramco Water Pump).
7. Confine entry permit - Initial inspection use monkey ladder.
8. Erect tower scaffolding inside the basin.
9. Internal cleaning - Remove sludge debris, marine growth from intake basin.
10. Inspection activities Civil and mechanical:
a) MECHANICAL INSPECTION:

Check cooling water pump suction strainers

Inspect metal underwater structures

Check drum screen rack assembly.
