After last Novembers F1 Grand Prix, another FIA event


will soon be taking place in Mexico City and this time
its Formula E. Usually, the ePrix races are held on
temporary tracks created on what are public roads.
But this time, they will race on a modied version
of the permanent Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez
circuit, in the park that was one of the venues for the
1968 Olympic Games. It is therefore an area that is
an integral part of the social and cultural fabric of the
Mexican capital and Im sure the enthusiastic local
crowd will give this innovative championship a very
warm welcome just as they did when F1 returned to the
venue a few months back.
Mexico has been very actively involved in promoting
FIA series and only last weekend, the Mexican round
of the WRC took place a few hundred kilometres from
the capital and, in September, the city will again host a
round of the FIA WEC Championship. This is down to
the great efforts of the OMDAI and its President, who
is also the FIA Vice President for Sport, Jos Abed: I
would like to thank him and his staff for what they have
done and will do in the future promoting sport and
road safety in Mexico. In fact, important progress is
being made on the latter front in this country, with the
Vision Zero campaign, which is actively supported by
the Mayor of the capital, Miguel Mancera.
Mexico City has all the ingredients to be another
crowd-pleaser, with fans following the event in so
many ways: at trackside, on television, on computer
and, where possible on their phone. It really is a global
audience in every sense of the word.

del ao pasado, Ciudad de Mxico vivir otro evento FIA
muy pronto: un ePrix de Frmula E. Por lo general, los
ePrix se llevan a cabo en pistas temporales construidas
con vas pblicas como base. Sin embargo, esta vez se
correr en una versin modicada del circuito permanente
del Autdromo Hermanos Rodrguez, precisamente en el
parque que fue una de las sedes de los Juegos Olmpicos
de 1968. Por lo tanto, se trata de un rea que es parte
integral del tejido social y cultural de la capital mexicana y
estoy seguro de que una entusiasta multitud local dar a
este novedoso campeonato una bienvenida muy clida,
al igual que sucedi cuando la F1 volvi aqu unos pocos
meses atrs.
Mxico ha participado de forma muy activa en la promocin
de los campeonatos de la FIA y justo la semana pasada
se llev a cabo la ronda mexicana del WRC a unos pocos
cientos de kilmetros de la capital; adems, en septiembre,
la ciudad volver a acoger una prueba del Campeonato
WEC de la FIA. Esto se debe a los grandes esfuerzos
llevados a cabo por OMDAI y de su Presidente, Jos Abed,
quien es tambin Vicepresidente de Deportes de la FIA; me
gustara darles las gracias tanto a l, como a su personal,
por lo que han hecho y harn en el futuro por la promocin
del deporte y de la seguridad vial en Mxico. De hecho,
se estn haciendo progresos importantes en este ltimo
frente en este pas, con la campaa Vision Zero, apoyada
activamente por el alcalde de la capital, Miguel Mancera.
Ciudad de Mxico tiene todos los ingredientes para
convertirse en otra de las sedes favoritas para el pblico,
con acionados siguiendo el evento de muchas maneras:
en la pista, por televisin, por el computador y en sus
telfonos cuando esto es posible. Realmente se trata de
una audiencia global, en todo el sentido de la palabra.

will visit in its second season and what a fabulous
location for us to be in!

en las que la Formula E correr en su segunda temporada,
y qu lugar tan fabuloso para venir!

Mexico has some of the most passionate and


knowledgeable motorsport fans in the world
something that I experienced rst hand when Sergio
Perez raced for my GP2 team and I know that we are
going to get a fantastic ovation when the 18 cars take
to the track for the rst all-electric single-seater event
to take place here.

En Mxico hay mucha acin al automovilismo; aqu


se encuentran algunos de los fans ms apasionados y
conocedores en la materia del mundo, algo que tuve
la oportunidad de ver de primera mano cuando Sergio
Prez corri para mi equipo de GP2. Estoy seguro de que
la acin nos recibir con una fantstica ovacin cuando
salgan a pista los dieciocho autos para disputar el primer
evento de monoplazas completamente elctricos.

While the circuit is very much in the heart of the city,


its a completely different sort of track for us, given
that it is based on the fabulous Autodromo Hermanos
Rodriguez, which has hosted everything from Formula
1 to Champ Car to top level sportscar racing, and is a
permanent facility.
This will present the teams and drivers with a
very different challenge from the ones they have
encountered so far on the temporary street circuits
we have raced on. It has the potential to turn the
form book on its head and I cant wait to see how
everything pans out on Saturday.
All the ingredients are in place for this to be a
superb event and I hope you all enjoy it as much
as I will.

El campeonato de frmula E de la FIA fue idea
del presidente de la FIA, Jean Todt. Su visin para
la creacin de un campeonato que sirviera para
mostrar el potencial de los vehculos elctricos fue
compartida por Alejandro Agag, quien estableci
Formula E Holdings para correr la serie.

The FIA Formula E Championship was


the brainchild of FIA President Jean Todt.
His vision for creating a championship to
showcase the potential of electric vehicles was
shared by Alejandro Agag, who established
Formula E Holdings to run the series.

En menos de dos aos se pas del concepto a la


realidad, y la primera carrera tuvo lugar en Beijing el 14
de septiembre de 2014.

In under two years it went from concept to reality, with the


rst race taking place in Beijing on September 14, 2014.

Para la segunda temporada, se han hecho una serie


de cambios a las regulaciones para hacer los autos
ms rpidos, las carreras ms emocionantes y los
acionados ms comprometidos y entretenidos. Aqu
est su gua esencial para la Frmula E.

LOS AUTOS
Los chasis son los mismos de la primera temporada.
Fueron construidos por Dallara, especialista italiano
en vehculos de carreras y estn hechos de un panal
compuesto de bra de carbono/aluminio. Han sido
probados contra accidentes con los mismos rigurosos
estndares de la Frmula 1. Cada uno de los nueve
equipos cuenta con cuatro autos.
La carrocera, las alas y la suspensin son producidas
por una empresa francesa llamada SPARK, establecida
especialmente para la Frmula E. Para la segunda
temporada, los equipos estn autorizados para producir
su propia suspensin trasera. Los ajustes deben ser los
mismos en ambos lados y la distancia entre ejes tiene
que ser la misma de la primera temporada.
Los grandes carenados sobre el alern delantero
estn diseados para minimizar la resistencia al viento
causada por las ruedas delanteras, mientras que las
dos grandes aletas que sobresalen del lado del chasis
son parte de la estructura de choque y no ofrecen
ningn benecio aerodinmico.
Otro de los cambios para esta temporada es que
los equipos son libres de elegir su propio proveedor
de ruedas. Las ruedas tienen que cumplir con las
dimensiones mnimas y mximas y siguen siendo de 18
pulgadas, pero la libertad de proveedor signica que
los equipos pueden buscar soluciones que mejoren la
refrigeracin de los frenos o ayuden a reducir el peso.
Los frenos mismos se han cambiado tambin,
modicando el compuesto de pastillas y discos para
mejorar el rendimiento de frenado.

For season two, a host of changes have been made to


the regulations to make the cars faster, the racing more
exciting and the fans more engaged and entertained.
Here is your essential guide to Formula E.

THE CARS
The chassis are the same as season one. They were built
by Italian racing car specialists Dallara and are made of
a carbon bre/aluminium honeycomb composite. They
have been crash-tested to the same stringent standards
as Formula 1. Each of the nine teams has four cars.
The bodywork, wings and suspension are produced by
a French company called SPARK, which was established
especially for Formula E. For season two, the teams
are allowed to produce their own rear suspension. The
settings need to be the same on both sides and the
wheelbase has to be the same as in season one.
The large fairings on the front
wing are designed to minimise
the wind resistance caused by
the front wheels, while the two
large ns that protrude from the
side of the chassis are part of
the crash structure and offer no
aerodynamic benet.
Another change for this season
is that the teams are free to
choose their own wheel supplier.
The wheels have to comply with
minimum and maximum dimensions
and are still 18-inch, but the freedom
of supplier means the teams can
seek solutions that improve brake
cooling or help to save weight.
The brakes themselves have been
changed too, with the compound
of the pads and discs altered to
improve braking performance.

ENTERTAINMENT
Formula E is unique in sport in that it allows the
fans to have a say in inuencing the result. This is
through FanBoost. For season two this has been
rened. And you can now vote for their favourite
driver DURING the race.
Voting closes six minutes into the race. This means the
three winners will have an extra boost only on their
second cars. Fans can vote via the official Formula E
website and app or via Twitter and Instagram using the
#FanBoost hashtag.
Away from the race track, Formula E fans are entertained
by EJ. This mysterious helmeted gure keeps a party
atmosphere going with bespoke tunes. EJ can be found
in the eVillage, where hes based on the podium, which
is where you will also nd the drivers as they spray the
victory champagne and collect their trophies.
In the eVillage fans can nd a host of fun activities. At every
race all 18 drivers make an appearance at the autograph
session, while our partners use the space to showcase their
sustainable technology through fun, interactive games. Its
also where you can buy official merchandise.

La Formula E es el nico deporte en que se permite


a los acionados tener voz y voto e inuir en el
resultado. Esto se hace a travs del FanBoost. Para
la segunda temporada este mecanismo ha sido
renado. Ahora pueden votar por su piloto favorito
DURANTE la carrera.
La votacin se cierra seis minutos en la carrera. Esto signica
que los tres ganadores tendrn un impulso extra slo en sus
segundos autos. Los acionados pueden votar a travs de
la pgina web ocial y de la aplicacin de la Frmula E o va
Twitter e Instagram con el hashtag #FanBoost.
Lejos de la pista de carreras, los acionados a la
Frmula E se divertirn con el EJ. Esta gura misteriosa
con casco mantiene un ambiente de esta usando
melodas a la medida. El EJ se puede encontrar en el
eVillage, ubicado en el podio, donde tambin podr
encontrar a los pilotos festejando la victoria con
champaa y recibiendo sus trofeos.
En el eVillage los acionados pueden encontrar una
gran variedad de actividades divertidas. En cada carrera
todos los 18 pilotos hacen acto de presencia en la sesin
de autgrafos, mientras que nuestros socios utilizan el
espacio para mostrar sus tecnologas sostenibles mediante

RULES

Formula E is not only unique in that the cars are all-electric, its also different in the fact that all the action
takes place over just one day.

PRACTICE

PRCTICA

There are two practice sessions. These are an opportunity


for the teams and drivers to rene the set-up of their cars.
This typically involves the tyre pressures, the ride height
and the rebound rates of the springs. Electric cars need
to be as efficient as possible, so the cars run much less
severe wings angles than you would normally see on street
tracks. The drivers are able to do one 200kw qualifying
simulation lap per session.

QUALIFYING
The 18 drivers are divided into two groups of four and two
groups of ve by means of a lottery. Each group has six
minutes during which they have to complete an out-lap, a
warm-up lap at 170kw and a 200kw qualifying lap. The overall
ve fastest drivers then progress to the Super Pole shoot-out
a new addition for season two.
In this 15-minute session the drivers go out one-by-one starting
with the person who set the fth fastest time and ending with
the driver who was fastest. When one driver crosses the line to
start his 200kw lap, the next driver is sent out.
The order from Super Pole decides the order for the top ve
places on the grid, with spots 6-20 made up of the order from
the group stages.

RACE
Formula E races begin with a standing start, with the
cars getting underway once ve red lights have been
illuminated and then turned out. The races typically last
around 50 minutes. Mid-way through the drivers are
required to change cars.
The reason for the car swap is that current battery
technology does not allow for cars to be driven at racing
speeds for more than around 25 minutes. It is the aim of
Formula E to advance battery technology to the extent that
this system is redundant in season ve.
During the pitstop the driver comes into the pits, stops in
his garage and unbuckles his safety belts and leaves the
car. He then sprints across the pit box and jumps into the
second car. When he has been safely strapped in he is
allowed to leave. A minimum pitstop time is mandated at
each race to ensure that the teams have sufficient time to
correctly and safety strap in their driver.

CALIFICACIN
Los 18 pilotos se dividen en dos grupos de cuatro y dos
grupos de cinco por medio de una lotera. Cada grupo
cuenta con seis minutos durante los cuales se tiene que
completar una vuelta de salida, una vuelta de calentamiento
a 170kw y una vuelta clasicatoria a 200kw. Los cinco
pilotos ms rpidos globalmente pasarn luego a la Super
Pole - una nueva adicin para la segunda temporada. En
esta sesin de 15 minutos, los pilotos salen uno por uno,
empezando con la persona que realiz el quinto mejor
tiempo y terminando con el piloto que fue ms rpido.
Cuando un piloto cruza la lnea para iniciar su vuelta de
200kw, se enva el siguiente piloto. El orden de la Super
Pole decide el orden de los cinco primeros puestos en la
grilla de salida, y los puestos 6-20 van en el orden obtenido
en la fase de grupos.

CARRERA
Las carreras de Frmula E comienzan con una partida,
donde los autos se van poniendo en marcha una vez que
las cinco luces rojas se han iluminado y luego se apagan.
Las carreras suelen durar alrededor de 50 minutos. A mitad
de carrera los pilotos son obligados a cambiar de auto. La
razn para el cambio de auto es que la tecnologa actual
de bateras no permite que los autos sean conducidos a
velocidades de carrera durante ms de 25 minutos. Uno de
los objetivos de la Frmula E es avanzar en la tecnologa de
bateras hasta que este sistema sea redundante en la quinta
temporada. Durante la parada en boxes el piloto entra en
los boxes, para en su garaje, se desabrocha el cinturn de
seguridad y sale del auto. Luego recorre el pit box y salta al
segundo auto. Cuando se le ha abrochado con seguridad,
se le permite salir. Un tiempo mnimo de parada en boxes es
obligatorio en cada carrera, para asegurar que los equipos
tengan tiempo suciente para abrochar correctamente y con
seguridad a sus pilotos.

praised the importance of Formula E

innovate, from our work with DHL, who
have provided a sustainable approach
to logistical set up, to our partnership
with Qualcomm in supporting wireless
charging technology.

The legacy programme is our

improve the condition of a race city,
or a social legacy, such as educating

Foundation, a charity focused
on environmental protection and
sustainable development. With cities
currently contributing up to 75% of
all carbon emissions, this partnership
allows Formula E to promote the use of
electric vehicles in city centres.

A great example of this is Formula

up to 10 EV chargers to the cities
hosting Formula E races, supporting

For the second season in a row the Buenos Aires


ePrix produced a sensational race with an unexpected
victor. But unlike season one, where the drama came
from crashes, retirements and pitlane penalties, the
second time around it was the on-track action that
created all the tension.
The catalyst for this was a topsy-turvy qualifying
session. Points leader, and pre-event favourite,
Sebastien Buemi made his chances of victory
considerably tougher by spinning during his qualifying
lap, which left him 18th, and last, on the grid.
With the Renault e.dams man out of the picture, there
was a chance for an unfamiliar face to have a turn
in the limelight. Step forward Sam Bird. A slightly
fortunate run to second in Malaysia aside, it had been
a tough start to the season for him and the DS Virgin
team, but there had been signs in the last outing in

Although condence was higher than normal, pole


position was beyond their expectations, but the Brit duly
lined up at the front of the pack for his and the teams
rst. A good start meant he converted this into the lead,
initially holding off Buemis team-mate Nico Prost, and
then Antonio Felix da Costa, after the Team Aguri man
produced a stunning overtake to grab second.
It wasnt to be the season one winners day however,
and not long after moving into second his car ground
to a halt a one dollar part in the battery having
expired. In the meanwhile, Buemi was pulling off a
sensational performance. He picked up four places on
the opening lap three of them in one move! and
was into the top six when da Costas stricken racer
meant the Qualcomm Safety Car had to be deployed.
This gave him a chance to close onto the tail of the
leaders and to pick up further places as they all dived
in for the mandatory car change. Lucas di Grassi was
now up into second and the Abt Schaeffler driver knew
his best chance to take the lead was at the restart.
But in his effort to get level with Bird he pushed just a
fraction too hard and a tiny error was all Buemi needed
to take advantage and second place. The Swiss star
now had Bird in his sights, but what the Brit didnt
know was that Buemi was struggling to regen in his
car, so was marginal on energy.
Nevertheless, he still put up a terric ght, but Bird
resisted to score his third Formula E win and the rst
for the DS Virgin alliance.
As everybody knows we merged with a great
manufacturer, DS, for this season and the hard work at
the DS Virgin Racing team has produced a really good
car today, he said. This is for the boys and the ladies
who have worked tirelessly since Punta del Este to
give me a better race car.

ALTO EN ARGENTINA
Por segunda temporada consecutiva el ePrix de
Buenos Aires produjo una carrera sensacional con un
vencedor inesperado. Pero a diferencia de la primera
temporada, donde el drama provino de accidentes,
retiros y sanciones en el pitlane, en la segunda fue la
accin en la pista la que cre toda la tensin.

Esto le dio la oportunidad de cerrar en la cola de los


lderes y obtener ms lugares ya que todos tuvieron
que entrar para hacer el cambio obligatorio de autos.
Lucas di Grassi estaba ahora de segundo y el piloto de
Abt Schaeffler saba que su mejor oportunidad para
tomar el liderato estaba en la reanudacin.

El catalizador para esta fue la confusa sesin de


calicacin. El lder en puntos, y favorito previo al
evento, Sebastien Buemi hizo que sus posibilidades de
victoria bajaran considerablemente al dar un trompo
durante su vuelta de calicacin, lo cual lo dej de 18,
y ltimo, en la grilla.

Pero en su esfuerzo por llegar al nivel de Bird empuj


slo una fraccin de ms y un pequeo error era todo
lo que Buemi necesitaba para tomar la ventaja y el
segundo lugar. La estrella suiza tena ahora en su mira
a Bird, pero lo que el britnico no saba era que Buemi
estaba luchando por regenerar en su auto, porque
estaba ya casi sin energa.

tomara el turno para ser el centro de atencin.
Sam Bird da un paso adelante. Fuera de un logro
ligeramente afortunado al quedar de segundo en
Malasia, haba sido un difcil comienzo de temporada
para l y para el equipo DS Virgin, pero haba seales
en la ltima partida en Punta de que las cosas
empezaran a cambiar.

Como todo el mundo ya lo sabe para esta temporada
nos fusionamos con un gran fabricante, DS, y el trabajo
duro en el equipo Virgin Racing DS ha producido hoy
un muy buen auto , dijo. Esto es para los nios y
mujeres que han trabajado sin descanso desde Punta
del Este para darme un mejor auto de carreras.

Sin embargo, no iba a ser el da del ganador de la


primera temporada, ya que no mucho despus de
pasar a la segunda posicin su auto se detuvo, una
pieza de un dlar en la batera haba caducado.
Mientras tanto, Buemi estaba teniendo una actuacin
sensacional. Gan cuatro lugares en la primera vuelta,
tres de ellos en un solo movimiento! Y estaba entre
los seis primeros cuando el corredor golpeado por da
Costa hizo que el auto de seguridad de Qualcomm
tuviera que activarse.

The rst season provided plenty of inspiration. The race


action captured the imagination of audiences around
the world and already showed the advances that can be
made in the performance of electric vehicles. We cant
wait to see what exciting developments the FIA Formula E
Championship will bring in 2016. And right now, we cant

SHORT AND SWEET


The first complex and approach to
turn one looks like a very interesting
corner, a very fast chicane. The
second part where you exit, youre
already into another corner, youre
already into the oval and the normal
part of the circuit. Its going to be
quite interesting to see how the
drivers manage to exit with as much
speed as they can. Turn four looks
like a very slow corner to the right
and then you get a lot of change in
direction as you go through another
left corner which is practically a
U-turn. You have to be very careful on
the exit as well because after that you
have the straight before entering into
the stadium.

is actually a stadium. The conguration
of the track means that we go through
there on two occasions and I think all
the people there are going to be so
excited because being in the
stadium, the excitement is going
to be contagious! I really like that
part and the other point is that
we have so many grandstands
along the start/nish straight and
over the pits as well. It looks like
its going to be very challenging.
The best overtaking spot Ive
seen will be the entry into the
stadium, thats going to be the
most interesting bit.

El primer complejo acercamiento a la


primera curva parece ser una curva muy
interesante, una chicane muy rpida. En
la segunda parte al salir, uno ya est en
otra curva, ya est en el valo y en la
parte normal del circuito. Va a ser muy
interesante ver cmo los pilotos se las
arreglan para salir con la mayor velocidad
posible. La cuarta curva se ve como una
curva muy lenta a la derecha y de pronto
se tiene un fuerte cambio de direccin a
medida que se avanza hacia otra curva a
la izquierda que es prcticamente un giro
en U. Se tiene que ser muy cuidadoso en
la salida tambin, ya que despus est la
recta antes de entrar al estadio.

Me encanta porque hay una parte


que es en realidad un estadio. La
conguracin de la pista implica que
pasemos por ah en dos ocasiones y
creo que todas las personas all van
a estar muy emocionadas por estar
en el estadio, y la emocin va a ser
contagiosa! Me gusta mucho esa
parte y el otro punto es que tenemos
muchas tribunas a lo largo de la recta
de partida/meta y en los pits tambin.
Parece que va a ser muy difcil. El mejor
punto de adelantamiento que he visto
ser la entrada al estadio, esa va a ser
la seccin ms interesante.

ruidosos! Son muy apasionados.
Estn muy entusiasmados con
lo que podemos ofrecer porque
realmente quieren ver correr un
auto. Yo dira que no entienden
muy bien e incluso los medios de
comunicacin no entienden los
autos de Frmula E. Es por eso
que va a ser tan bueno cuando
lleguemos all y les mostremos lo
que tenemos. No se trata slo sobre
los autos, se trata tambin del show
que la Frmula E trae consigo a
cada lugar donde va.

Its been almost 60 years since Juan Manuel


Fangio won the last of his ve Formula 1 World
Championships, yet the legend of the Argentinian
nicknamed El Maestro remains as strong as ever.
So when the opportunity arose for Bruno Senna
and Jerome DAmbrosio to pay a visit to the town
of Balcarce the birthplace of the great man they
jumped at the opportunity. First stop was El Casco, a
beautiful farmhouse set among potato elds that was
Fangios summer residence.

These days its been converted into a hotel and spa,


although theres a tribute to its former owner in the
shape of his office, which contains some amazing
photos of Fangio with other legends such as Enzo
Ferrari and Ayrton Senna.
My uncle and Fangio became good friends, explains
Bruno, as he sat behind the desk and surveyed his
surroundings. There was a great respect between
them for what they had achieved.
Next up was a visit to Autodromo Juan Manuel
Fangio. A 2.8-mile fabulous undulating strip of asphalt
carved into the hills nearby and designed by the man
himself in the early 1970s. Waiting there were four
cars a 1938 Ford V8-powered single-seater, a 1939

Mil Millas, a gorgeous 1950 Talbot Lago 4500 and a
Maserati 450S.
Senna was rst out in the Ford, while DAmbrosio was
in the comparatively modern Chevy.
After a lap in each they swapped and then headed
back to meet the assembled press and express their
awe at how Fangio and his contemporaries could race
so hard in cars that lack even the most basic safety
protection by todays standards.
They it was time to jump in the Talbot and Maserati.
Even though there was only 10 years between them
and the Chevy, the advances in race car technology
and preparation were clear to see and the drivers were
revelling in it, with DAmbrosio even starting to drift the
bright blue Talbot around.
That was amazing! he beamed before turning the
ignition back on and heading out again.
These cars are works of art as well as museum
pieces, said Senna, so you dont want to break them,
but they are a lot of fun.
With the cars safety returned, the trip concluded
with a visit to the Fangio museum, where a scrum of
local media and excited fans were waiting to greet
the Formula E stars. After
a brief press conference
where the drivers divulge
their admiration for Fangio
and explain the concept of
all-electric racing, they were
treated to a guided tour.
As well as an amazing
selection of cars from
Fangios iconic career
including all the F1
championship winners
there is also a wide array of
other machinery, including
Ayrton Sennas 1988 titlewinning McLaren MP4/4. It
was a tting conclusion to a
fantastic day.

HI THERE! We are Barbara Mincioni,
Magui Zalazar, Raul Diaz Campo, Daniel
Panelo and Ariel Moyano, and together
we manage the Argentina Formula E
Fan Site Facebook page.
We have all been fans of motorsport
since we learnt to speak. When the FIA
Formula E Championship started, we
naturally got very excited. We all fell in
love with the vision of Formula E and its
ambition to provide clean racing.
As operators of the Fan Site, we were
invited to dinner with NEXTEV drivers
Nelson Piquet Jr and Oliver Turvey
on the Thursday before the race. This
was a great experience for us as we
had the chance to exchange opinions
with the drivers and discuss the future
of Formula E. For most of us, this was
the rst time that we had spoken to
professional racing drivers so we were
initially very awe-struck!
Daniel was also invited to have lunch
with DS Virgin Racing ahead of the race.
It was a great moment for him as he was
able to interview the drivers and the team
manager. Daniel also had the opportunity
to compete in a Journalists Race with a
small electric kit car, and understand the
circuit and enjoy the adrenaline buzz of
racing against his colleagues.

On Friday, Raul and Barbara were at


the Fan Friday event organised by
DS Virgin Racing. It was an incredible
experience as they had an opportunity
to watch the shakedown and observe
all of the work behind the scenes. The
team gave us access to the team radio
and we also had a chance to speak to
the drivers. We all wished them good
luck for the race ahead it seemed to
work for Sam Bird!
As a team we agreed to distribute our
duties ahead of the race. Magui, who
couldnt attend the race, was in charge
of uploading all the information to our
Fan Site, allowing us to deliver some
great content for Formula E fans in
Argentina. Raul was only with us for the
Thursday and Friday, so he helped us
in co-ordinating the Fan Friday with DS
Virgin. Barbara, Daniel and Ariel got
involved with the photography, videos
and interviews that were to be uploaded
to our Fan Site.
Saturday was race day and it was a
hugely memorable day for everyone.
We were treated to a full day of
motorsports, visiting the pit lane and
talking to the drivers, mechanics and
engineers. It was an incredible weekend
for us. We hope to continue building our
community as the series grows.

Todos hemos sido acionados a los
deportes de motor desde que aprendimos
a hablar. Cuando el Campeonato
de Frmula E de la FIA comenz,
naturalmente estbamos todos muy
emocionados. Todos nos enamoramos de
la visin de la Frmula E y de su ambicin
de ofrecer carreras limpias.
Como operadores del Sitio de los
acionados, fuimos invitados a cenar con
los pilotos de NEXTEV Nelson Piquet y
Oliver Turvey el jueves antes de la carrera.
Esta fue una gran experiencia para
nosotros, ya que tuvimos la oportunidad
de intercambiar opiniones con los pilotos
y discutir el futuro de la Frmula E. Para la
mayora de nosotros, esta era la primera
vez que hablbamos con pilotos de

carreras profesionales, as que al principio


estbamos muy impresionados!
Daniel tambin fue invitado a almorzar
con DS Virgin Racing antes de la
carrera. Fue un gran momento para l
ya que pudo entrevistar a los pilotos y
al director del equipo. Daniel tambin
tuvo la oportunidad de competir en una
carrera de periodistas con un auto con
un pequeo kit elctrico, y entender
el circuito y disfrutar el zumbido de la
adrenalina al competir contra sus colegas.
El viernes, Ral y Brbara estuvieron
en el evento Viernes de Acionados
organizado por DS Virgin Racing.
Fue una experiencia increble, ya
que tuvieron la oportunidad de ver el
movimiento y observar todo el trabajo
detrs de las escenas. El equipo nos dio
acceso a la radio del equipo y tambin
tuvimos la oportunidad de hablar con
los pilotos. Todos les deseamos buena
suerte para la carrera que viene ... y
parece que a Sam Bird le funcion!

Como equipo nos pusimos de acuerdo


para distribuirnos las tareas antes de
la carrera. Magui, como no pudo asistir
a la carrera, fue la encargada de subir
toda la informacin en nuestro Sitio para
los acionados, donde colocamos un
increble contenido para los acionados
de la Frmula E en Argentina. Ral
slo estuvo con nosotros el jueves y el
viernes, por lo que nos ayud a coordinar
el Viernes de Acionados organizado
por DS Virgin. Brbara, Daniel y Ariel se
encargaron de la fotografa, los vdeos y
las entrevistas que iban a ser subidos a
nuestro Sitio para los acionados.
El sbado fue el da de la carrera y fue
un da muy memorable para todos.
Tuvimos un da completo de deportes
de motor, visitamos el pit lane y
hablamos con los pilotos, mecnicos
e ingenieros. Fue un n de semana
increble para nosotros. Esperamos
continuar con la construccin de
nuestra comunidad a medida que la
