The Masters in Project Management program (MPM) at SZABIST is a next step towards my career and I
am excited about it.
I am a skilful and technical kind of person with good communication and entrepreneurial skills. I have an exceptional study background. I have earned 4 gold medals for overall best performance in BSc civil Engineering program and also achieved good percentages in SSC & HSSC. I was one of the 50 students in Federal area who were awarded middle standard scholarship. This always urged me to continue with advance studies. In addition to my solid academic credentials, I have work experience of about 3 years in project management with Pakistans supreme organizations like NESPAK and Telenor. Developing time schedules, making cash flow estimates and S-curves, updating and monitoring construction projects, delay impact studies, earned value analysis, progress reporting, making look ahead schedules, presenting in progress review meetings and quality control are some of the tasks I am involved with since start of my career. I have always met objectives and won praise of my superiors consistently throughout my career. As I developed these skills, I became more interested in managing projects which I think needs proper implementation especially in an under developed country. This need, further with my entrepreneurial skills helped me starting a management consultant firm Construction Engineering and Management Solutions (CEM Solutions) (www.cemsolutions.org) with aim to provide quality project management services. With this platform, I have worked on about 10 projects, providing project planning and controlling services including 100 MW solar power project at Bahawalpur. As I am making my career in construction project management, it is now mandatory for me to participate in advance study program which addresses core concepts and skills for project management. I searched for an advance project management program and when I came to know about MPM in SZABIST, I found that it has all subjects I need to develop advance skills like project planning and scheduling, SAP training, cost management and Primavera. I also found that SZABIST is HEC recognized, offering weekend program and all these constitute to a perfect combination for my advance studies. I also feel that my combination of hard work, passion, vision and experience will make me an asset for masters in project management program at SZABIST Islamabad. Lastly, I am feeling honored and courageous to apply for MPM in SZABIST as this will help build my skills to better plan and control projects which will in turn help my organization and also help me advance in my career.
